Hello Paul - greetings from Poland I'm lucky enough to be "first up" this morning. A wonderful video old friend. Beautifully photographed with your customary superb commentary, full of very interesting information and facts about what we are looking at. A magnificent building and garden, looking at it's best at any time of the year. Fabulous colours, apples galour and vegetables for the table. Thanks so much for taking me along. See you again soon. Stay safe please

Good morning Michael! Well done on being one of the very first to view this and the first to comment 😊. Glad you enjoyed it. There had been a fair bit of rain before filming but thankfully it had just stopped - I think this helped it give everything a fresh look with deep colours. Yes, sad that the Court itself isn't open, but hopefully I can return on another occasion to get the 'inside view' on that. Hope you have a great weekend Michael, take care, Paul 🙂👍

1.06k Hi Paul theres actually 10 faces on that dodecahedron sun dial .... yet again interesting content to wake up to .

Thank you Mei! Glad you enjoyed it. Your comment provokes much interest! According to the National Trust guide book that I bought, it is indeed a dodecahedron sundial. Dodecahedron means 12 sided, and is based on a sundial in Italy attributed to the mathematician Lorenzo Federici. But, when I went back and checked the video clip there are only 10 markers, making it a decagon sundial, and not a dodecahedron sundial as the National Trust names it as! I think that there is more to this story! Glad you enjoyed it, take care, Paul.

What a wonderful autumn garden, you can tell the walled garden must be fantastic in the summer. The house is huge & will certainly be costing the National Trust a fair bit to restore, great video, thankyou..

Thank you Faith! Although maybe not as spectacular as a late springtime visit, I feel that the autumn colours more than made up for it. Yes, certainly a big job to do on the Court building for sure! Thanks again, take care, Paul.
