George Barris did restore one of the original Monkey mobiles, but not without faults. I have pic's of my wife with her identical twin sister and her brother standing next to and sitting inside the original Monkeesmobile in about 1967. During the Spokane outo boat and speed show. The lettering on the stencils and the hight of the back of the seats are different highlights

By the way, it does not run, the motor is too dangerous to start.

I don't think 'quite a few' Lincoln Futuras were made. There was only one, which was built as a concept car in 1955. George Barris had a further 4 Batmobiles made, 3 of which were 1966 Ford Galaxies with Fibreglass bodies, the 4th was based on a 58 Ford Thunderbird.

The TBird based BATMOBILE was a confiscation from a Midwest builder, sat in The side yard until 1984 when Bob Butts from San Diego bought it. His shop restored it and the cycle to very high standard.

if you want to see a picture of the original builder of the Monkee Mobile Kleverdrive.com Karl Krumme is pictured on day 1 starting the project for Dean Jeffries, after Karl Krumme finished the car, Randy Wright then made the fiberglass molds and 5 fiberglass bodies, some of the cars ended up being finished over at Barris Customs, all of those shops worked together in some fassion and the talent bounced arround depending on who needed what.

@@wheelzeventztv5192 on these custom cars my dad, Karl Krumme used wood patterns and did all of the sheetmetal forming like an artist. I know when he designed and built the first Pantera #1 he made a clay model of the car first and it was right next to the car he fabricated.

I heard and saw there was 16 made for the show they all look exactly the same... so the guy on Barrett-Jackson did he really buy number one or did he buy number 12 who knows... as long as they get their Commission they could care less..💰💰💰💰👋
