"And he's foreign so he WOULD say that, wouldn't he..?" I still say that apart from all the legal and practical reasons that the Rwanda deal won't work, the major reason it won't work is because it was never INTENDED to work in the first place! We're being forced to spend millions of OUR money on a scheme designed to make us angry against refugees and distract us from the very real problems: Tory destroyed legal immigration and refugee routes, mass poverty and destitution, the systematic rape of our infrastructure and the flagrant dismissal of Law; a distraction to save the Tories own thieving, criminal arses.

They are breaking International Law. The UN 1951 Convention provides the internationally recognized definition of a refugee and outlines the legal protection, rights and assistance a refugee is entitled to receive. The core principle of the 1951 Convention is non-refoulement, which asserts that a refugee should not be returned to a country where they face serious threats to their life or freedom. The document outlines the basic minimum standards for the treatment of refugees, including the right to housing, work and education while displaced so they can lead a dignified and independent life. Under international law, anyone has the right to apply for asylum in any country that has signed the 1951 Convention and to remain there until the authorities have assessed their claim.

Net migration in the year to June 2023 was at 672,000, The top nationalities for immigration flows into the UK were: Indian (253,000), Nigerian (141,000). Uk is an island country with small land area, How many houses are there in UK? British will become ethnic minorities soon. In 2023: report estimates estimates therre were 14,648 stowaways. Other, 102,807 people granted Ukraine Visa and Extension Schemes visas. 43,368 people granted Hong Kong BN(O) visas. 4,671 people granted Family Reunion visas. Less than 10% of Britain is developed. We can build new towns or expand existing ones, and put in new & improve old infrastructure to support a lot more people. But the will isn't there. We have more empty properties than homeless people, but the will to refurbish them isn't there--.especially since the tories have deliberately underfunded councils. We could welcome more people if we wanted to, especially as immigrants put more into our economy than they draw out via benefits etc, but a mixture of racism, xenophobia, insularity and NIMBYism prevents us moving forward. Also, 'British' is a nationality, not an ethnicity, and this idea that we 'natives' are going to be replaced by Johnny Foreigner is not borne out-- especially since the majority of those immigrants become British citizens themselves.
