I have reclaimed VAT on my wife's mobility scooter in order for her to be able to buy Tunnocks Caramel Wafers. The VAT on chocolate biscuits is higher rate whereas if there is no chocolate you pay the lower rate. But you can actually get the whole of the VAT back on a mobility scooter if you are registered disabled WHETHER OR NOT there is any chocolate on the disability scooter. The pastor on my Church used to put Tunnocks Caramel Wafers on the table at the Manse after church while he was still alive, but he went Home some ten years ago now. I'm not sure if the VAT exemption applied in those days.

Bit too minty for my liking, i rather a custard cream but really the best at the moment is the tesco own make bourbons. They are really nice with a cup of tea but please take care as they have a habit of breaking of after dipping in the tea. That is known in the trade as a disaster. As your cup of tea can be ruined and you have lost the biscuit forever. A jammy dodger rarely breaks after dipping in tea but rich teas are famous for breaking off easily, however these can be scooped out of the cup (or mug) with a clean teaspoon without much damage to the integrity of the tea. Dispose of the sodden rich tea biscuit in the bin or even pass on to the dog or even your wife.
