That was a perfect recap. I started the series after a sports talk show ran a poll asking which show was better, Succession, Barry, or Ted Laso? I started watching Barry on Wednesday and finished on Saturday. This is definitely one series the "resolved itself naturally" ( Seinfeld term LOL)

Barry is a perfect anti-Better Call Saul show. Better Call Saul’s message is in a very positive note (pro-Jimmy McGill sentiment): It’s never too late to change, even if it’s in the point that it seems impossible. Barry’s message is in a very bleak note (pro-Chuck McGill sentiment): Well, people actually won’t change. They will always find an excuse for their awful behavior and have a false hope that once this excuse or the boogeyman’s gone, the problems will solve itself but the truth is, it doesn’t. The boogeyman (Barry) is dead but thanks to the inability to change of these people, the problem will never go away. And for me, I prefer Barry’s message because it’s more realistic. People will never change their nature. Those who “changed” all lie to themselves.

I am glad this series has ended. It grew more convoluted and less funny as seasons progressed. Many people involved in the series have done a phenomenal job, and I hope to see more of them in the future (especially the dude who plays NoHo Hank, and Bill Hader is befinitely getting more stuff to direct/showrun). But as a "comedy" series, I don't think I will rewatch it ever again.

Anyone who likes Barry should watch Mr Inbetween, another show created, written, and starred in by one man, Scott Ryan in this case. It's also a violent dark comedy about a hitman, but without the absurdism of Barry, standing in a more realistic representation of the world. It's also amazing, more meaningful content in 25 minutes than most hour long dramas. Was 26 episodes total across its 3 seasons.
