You just did me proud this morning. This is a perfect song. Barry's voice is magnificent, Don't you love how he seamlessly transitions from chest to head to falsetto? The build is tremendous to the chorus. AND as much as I love Barry's lead and the harmony, what about Blue's piano??? This song belongs to him too. It's one that where Blue is also credited for the songwriting along with Barry and Robin. The ending, the harmony, Barry's give and take with the sax - it's all masterwork. Remember how he worked with the sax in "Stop (Think Again)." Thanks Chad. I love this so much.

Blue Weaver commented on the GSI Facebook group just recently that he wrote the piano part several years before joining The Bee Gees. Barry came up with lyrics as he played. Blue said he has a version with Robin singing lead but Robin believed Barry should sing this song. This song is really magnificent.

Being a “Barry Girl” this song really hits all the high spots for me right from the hit-go. But then in comes those twins and their impeccable harmony! Wow is right! This one’s a masterpiece! There is literally NO other BeeGees’ song that is a perfect blend of Barry’s natural voice and his falsetto. The lyrics, melody and soft vocals are a perfect match as well. Figured at some point you would get to this song. It is one to play on repeat because of how “gorgeous” it is. Chad, I see you stepping up with the merch. One of my adult children started out selling merch for a famous band (can’t give away the info). They have worked their way up to tour management now. I like your merch setup. Besides 'You Should Be Dancing', this was the best track on the COTW album. So smooth and soulful. This is one of the great deep cuts in their entire catalogue. This can be listened to with your eyes closed without the distracting fan video.

Background-music! Again from Odessa-album. Now 'The British Opera', got you, Chad! Congrets to your daughter, hold it back till next weekend. And yes, that song is beyond of beautiful! Makes me think of a trip to Heidelberg, well known, also beyond of beautiful german city. Was in 1999, when together with some friends of mine, we sat in a student-bistro. After having dinner, Pianomusic filled the room and the very talented musician played and sang for nearly three hours. Rockin' sounds as also many slower ones. But when he played exactly that number, hearing the opening line, I stood beside him. While playing, he looked at me and because of his demand I sang some parts together with him. Then many guests stood around us. Spoke lil with him and so he played a Bee Gees medley, starting with 'First Of May' gettin' over to 'Massachusetts' and ending with 'To Love Somebody'. And believe me, the atmosphere was high as an elefants bibi, if you know what I mean.

It's a must for me to write about the following theme, like I do in other communities and medias as well as my personal email-acounts. 'Lord I'm one, lord I'm two............lord I'm five hundred miles away from war'. Not a long distance, it is. And it seems the army of this devil's son got his order, to disturb the city of Odessa at next. It's all insane, but hope dies at last. Think only the brave and friendly people in the land of that cowardly and cruel leader can stop him in the end. We just signed, to receive refugees, having enough place for maybe a mother with children. Let's see, what happens.

@@francisxray9900 - I wish you all the best "X". Too many people in this hemisphere feel insulated having never experienced war on their own soil. I lost 4 cousins in WW2 and my father was a pilot. I'm sure your family suffered too. War sucks. It serves no purpose except death and destruction and this one in particular is all about one crazy man's ego. I sent the link for the anthem to him yesterday but doubt he wanted to bring it up openly. Ironic that beautiful Odessa is next in their sites.

Well Chad, another album almost done, only 'Subway' is missing and that's it, a very good one by the way. I'm sorry to be the bitter one here, but honestly this is the song that I like the least on the album, however I highlight the harmonies, the sax and the piano.
