Among his already numerous awards I believe Dr Barry should be acknowledged as an inventor and should receive a Noble prize. Yes the Barry Harris System with his 6th diminished scale and other nuggets is the most powerful and logical system for harmonic analysis and melodic construction on the planet.

I remember when the $66,000 was raised for Barry. I cried. To see how so many people showed so much love for Barry moved me tremendously. When I found out about his Zoom classes, I jumped right in. I didn't know how long we would have Barry, but I didn’t want to miss a moment. Being in his home town makes him even more special to me. Long live Barry's legacy and teachings, and may he rest in power forever.

To God be The Glory...we had a talented black man who lived on this planet, an accomplished pianist, who traveled all over and racked up so many accomplishments, who was of truth and transparency, and never acted like a rockstar he taught people, and forced people to learn as much and all of what he knew. Rest. In. Power. 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️

Oh I have so many questions for the master sensei Barry. In the Barry Harris YT video called "Confirmation"..towards the end with the tenor, could he go and start with the triplet and carry on with the line back into ending the phrase with another triplet? I'm trying lol😆

he's right about the modes in jazz.jazz of his definitions are two fives mostly. they belong to "modal jazz" but i wonder how he'll tackle nardis with that Em going to F, thats a classic mode.
