When Barry Harris reacts to your playing like he does at 4:17 you can now happily retire from the piano knowing you just unlocked the secret BOSS LEVEL on the hardest setting and got the highest possible score with flawless perfect health. Biggest compliment ever from the master, and a real treat to hear. Thank you for sharing ❤

Barry's lyric for this improvisation on "Embraceable You," which he calls "EmBarryHarrisable You," is lovely. I've heard him perform it a half dozen times on his visits to Chicago, usually with James Austin, one of his students, accompanying him at the piano. Barry told the story of finishing it on a flight back from Japan, probably in '76. I'm very pleased to see this video of it on youtube.
