This is just like the beginning of my first Manilow concert in August of 1975. Barry was just becoming known, and was the opening act for Helen Reddy... he absolutely stole the show!!! He's now age 81, and still an AMAZING performer in 2024!!

I saw him twice this summer. (2024) first time i went by myself. It was so GREAT . my friend said she'd have gone.i looked on line and got tickets in Springfield Mo. For $8.50 . We went on a road trip. She said it was THE BEST concert she'd ever been to. She's been to many. I tried to tell my friends how great he is. I know I will probably never see him live again. That's why I went 2xs. I LOVE BARRY SINCE I WAS 14 AND heard Mandy for the first time. I've seen him 7 times. When he passes I will be a wreck. He writes, sings and arranges BEAUTIFUL MUSIC.

The memories that come back.... I remember seeing his performing on TV someplace, and my dad commented that unlike the other guy with the 3 women singing background, he had talent. The other guy being Tony Orlando and Dawn. And I chuckled when he tore off the cloaks from the ladies. On the notes from his terrific live album, he mentioned that one time during the tour, he tore it off one of them, the cloak got stuck on her necklace, and he almost threw her into the drum kit.
