Who said 'Cucumber Castle' was unsuccessful? This is classic country music.

1970...I think Maurice was going through a particularly rough time, I can easily see how this song was born of that. God bless him.

This is one reason the Bee Gees ahve kept old fans and gathered new ones! The Lord and other religious songs are some of their best tunes!

OH MY GOD SIMPLY GORGEOUS. Two of the most beautiful and talented guys around then or now. When Maurice died The Bee Gees died. I always thought Berry and Robin carried the songs, but just listen to Berry and Mo, UNREAL. Mo you were really the most talented brother, and you got the least fan fair. Love you Mo and Robin And of course still Berry, you rock!!

He wasn’t the most talented. Sorry. Maurice would tell you that. He called Barry multi-talented.

@@BGWhisperer all around musically talented, I believe he was, but someone like Mo always stays in the background and gives someone else the praise. But everyone is entitled to their own beliefs.

@@jessiemyrle4907 It wasn’t lip service. Barry really is an incredibly talented person. One of the best and prolific songwriters ever, both melodies and lyrics, great singer, his famous falsetto, versatile voice and styles of singing, produced a bunch of albums and wrote for other singers, especially for female voices, wrote soundtracks, and songs for movies, played what some call one of the best rhythm guitars, wrote three films, acted, was a great showman, had dance moves and rhythm, great business sense and wisdom, a great leader of people, good speaker, great frontman, played tennis, and now he is working on a book, and is executive producing a biopic.

Mo had a great voice. Never given the chance to totally be the lead on some songs. He had a great depth to his voice. Country he would have been great at. This song with just the 2 of them was good despite the smoke. Too bad Mo passed away too soon for he could have done wonders with his talent. I love all 4 brothers and miss hearing more songs from them but will always treasure what they gave us that will last an eternity. I am glad a few of the 2nd generation are performing. Sami is great!

No true surprise to thosd e oif us who owned this excelent album, and who still find themselves singing this tune to themselves out of the blue. Thanks for posting! Emily Ortiz. Yes, he has a very unique voice, such a wide range. Amazing harmony- Maurice singing as a second voice with Barry in higher range and then singing third party one octave lower. He doesn't have any limitations, his base giving fullness to the musical structure and deep rich sound to the song. He is the GENIUS. I am listening it again and again, it's very addictive! Love il! Humming in the morning on the way to the church.😂

From years and years of watching them they never all 3 Barry, MO and Robin had a bad interview well Barry and Robin walked off a Clive something show poor Mo didn't know what to do he tried to get his mic off so he could go too but just gave up and walked off also but other than that their interviews were so funny you never knew what these men were going to say and if 1 started the other 2 joined in I always loved their interviews they loved each other and were all 3 so funny such a loss.
@saradavidson30546 жыл бұрын
That was funny when Maurice couldnt get his mic off on The Clive show. They were all so funny.
@barbaralee9155 жыл бұрын
I loved it when they walked off of that show! Clive was trying to start something and drive wedges between them. He was being so disrespectful and Barry had enough of it. He said, or, I could just go and then stood up and walked away. Robin immediately went with him. Peace-maker Maurice took another minute but went too. Clive had no idea what to say. Stupid interview. Why would they just sit there and take whatever he wants to dish out? They've worked too hard for that.

Marilyn, you can always find this type of into in Wikipedia. Look up "Bee Gees" and then the individual Gibb brothers by their names on the right side of the page. But PLEASE take OFF your CAPS-LOCK!!! Online and in social media, that is considered to be yelling or screaming and makes you appear agitated or upset; lol! Yes, The Bee Gees are awesome!!!
