This guy is one heck of a coach. By any measurable standards the best UNLV has seen in decades. Very impressed with how he handled this and his focus on getting back to work.

I was at the game. Great college football environment. Proud of our team. They played great 1 turnover and a bad roughing the passer call against UNLV at a critical time. Sealed their fate. That Boise State team is legit. They look like the old Chris Petersen teams. Jeanty is awsome. That man almost unstoppable. His numbers weren't huge but he got the yards when they needed them almost every time.

UNLV is so fortunate to have a dude that has 180'd that program so fast, and put it in the national conversation. No Vegas casino would have took odds on that happening not that long ago. I don't know who their DC is but, give that guy a raise.

We are heading in the right direction, we need to keep this momentum going, we need a QB, it’s not the program’s fault a spoiled kid left all his teammates behind, Rebel for life. We also need to keep this coaching staff.

When you give up 6 Sacks & 9 Tackles for Loss but don't even touch Boise's QB...what you expect??? #91 on UNLV is an EMBARRASSMENT to the game of football getting pushed around like he's on roller skates. Our QB was scared and many others were scared too. We need to recruit BIGGER O & D linemen. Thats where games are won & lost is on the line of scrimmage. We getting there. Hats off to Odom and the rest of the coaching staff

kind of have to admire how boise keeps coming to UNLV and basically beats them at their own game. qb sneaks, sacks and turnovers. the going for it on 4th down at the 3 yard line w a play action pass for a TD was the ultimate " we're better than you and we both know it" moment

Seems like they are about even it was anybody’s game to win
@jesterscorner879Күн бұрын
@@claudiamarlow5265 Yes and no. I would say it was anyone's game at the end of the 3rd Quarter/Beginning of the 4th, but after the final score by Boise and the fact that Boise State held onto the ball for over 8 minutes on their final drive of the game and denied UNLV the chance to even try to score for that whole time was something that definitely stood out for Boise. I don't think UNLV had a possession anywhere near that long for the whole game. UNLV also had an insanely high forced turnover rate coming into this game and got goose egged in that respect. This isn't to say that Odom hasn't done an insanely good job with UNLV, he definitely has, but I do think that Boise State has a level of discipline and stamina that is above where UNLV is at. UNLV might get there at the end of this year or the beginning of next year though.
@claudiamarlow5265Күн бұрын
@@jesterscorner879If Boise had literally made a mistake or a turnover it may have been a different result. I can see the level of dedication and hard work UNLV puts in and see the improvement from last year til now
@liljoe318 сағат бұрын
@claudia yes, two plays decided the game: Woodard had another INT go right through his hands on one of boise's TD drives. the other was Williams INT at the end of first half cost them the game. the phantom holding call on Grimes just sealed the deal. as amy longtime UNLV person knows, the ncaa will screw us if they can, and they did w that horrible call, along w the phantom delay of game w one second on the play clock as they were driving

As a BSU fan I was licking my chops through the first few weeks at the thought of our pass rush going up against Sluka, HMW gave me a lot more anxiety being able to throw the ball. You guys had an outstanding game plan for Jeanty, see you in Boise in December 🤙
