GOAT of running backs hands down.. when you do what he does, with Scott Mitchell as your best qb ever.. it's not even close.. sorry Emmitt.. and it's not even close

I always mention that when someone tries arguing the greatest running back. Out of all the offensive lineman he played with there was only 1 that went to a few prowbowls. The coaches made plays that would purposely allow the defensive end through unblocked to allow the tackle to get upfield. They did this knowing Barry would make the first guy miss.

Absolutely, if he had the Cowboys Super Bowl line, he may have doubled his yards. It broke my heart that he never got a real shot at a championship. Greatest and most innovative back in NFL history.

Not to mention Barry is the all time leader in negative yardage rushes. The entire defensive line was in the backfield before he even got the ball. Dude was a legit magician

I think Eric Kramer was the best Detroit Lions QB to play with Barry, at least he won a playoff game and helped them win two NFC Central Division Titles. Mitchell choked in his playoff appearances.

Fave quote about Barry. When he was at Oklahoma State. Thurman Thomas was 1st string and Barry was 2nd string. Before the game against Oklahoma, OU coach Barry Switzer tells his defense "Whatever you do, do NOT hurt Thurman!!"

@@Boondoggle_Mollywop I may be wrong, but I recall Barry stating Mitchell gives them the best chance to win or something of that nature. Maybe I'm making that up though. I just remember it being a hot mess with Bobby Ross.
