I have had the pleasure of seeing and getting to know Jim Redman and saw Barry Sheene where ever he was racing. Such a talented man with a wonderful sense of humour .

chatted with barry in the pits at Brands Hatch for British GP practice. when questioned about the rumour he was there to try out for Ferrari - his reply "NAHHHH these things scare the shit outta me" i just stared in disbelief - Barry, SCARED. not possible!

He completely changed motorcycle racing. Money, sponsorship, exposure. He took it from almost club racing and brought it to livingrooms across the world. He gave some young and upcoming riders fantastic opportunities.

Treasure your memories, we won't see that stuff in the future. We've seen the best of road racing unless there is a dramatic change of mindset I really like the UK Lansdowne Series.

One dislike probably Kenny Roberts
@955isteve5 жыл бұрын
I did not like Kenny when they raced all the slagging but I see a video of King Kenny after Barry died and it was just a wind up between the two on them So one said at a meeting Kenny was at what would make this better and he said Barry Sheene being hear and Kenny almost started to cry that’s respect that’s why I called Kenny King Kenny as he was know I respect him for what he said
