Prior to Switzer, there had only been two Dallas Cowboys head coaches since 1960. Switzer was definitely a huge big step backward compared to either Jimmy Johnson or Landry.

Switzer coached Aikman in college When Troy heard Switzer was getting the job he was satisfied cause he felt the discipline would continue cause Switzer was a tough coach at Oklahoma But Switzer was anything but with the Cowboys a very loose coach who let his players do anything
