Hanshi passed away last week, September 2023. He was the iron fist in a leather glove, it was an honor to train under him and a void that we simply cannot fill. Let us hope his reunion with Mas Oyama is a peaceful one. Osu.

John’s such a gentleman and honest and committed to his art and more importantly, his Students. His life has been incredible and I’m so glad I saw this and learnt more about this icon of Bondi Junction. John - “Ollie” is missing his Classes thanks to COVID-19 but cant wait to be back on Tuesdays at 4.30pm. Stay well and thanks for all you do in guiding our kids and others.

@@BarryIon oh thank god ,I prey he makes it to 100 years of age.Im 48 years of age now ,I'm a 1980s boy from Bondi born in 1974.i miss Bondi junction,my old stomping grounds,but now I live in Forster NSW Australia,My mother and I couldn't afford the rents anymore,we moved in 2018.God bless John Taylor and his sons family ECT,And Bondi Sydney forever in my memories 🙏♥️

At the age of 15 he traveled to Japan and not long after continued his training. He began studying with a focus on judo and karate, eventually achieving 4th Dan Black Belt in Shotokan, 7th Dan Black Belt in Goju-ryu Karate, 4th Dan Black Belt in Judo.
