What a pleasure to watch this. John Lydon is always a great interview subject. I only saw PIL once, in '89 (with New Order and The Sugarcubes). He was hands down the best entertainer and performer I'd personally seen in concert to that point, with a great affection and consideration for his audience.

Looking forward to the next installment! John Lydon is Fabulous! He never gives a bad Interview! He is as much an Icon as those he speaks highly of. And the nice thing is, he is probably more consistent in his views throughout his 50 Years in the Public Eye! He is still Authentic, which is more than the world of self professed 'wannabees' who claim to be "Punk", but are really nothing more than pillars for "The Establishment". He is Genuine and a Decent Man. R.I.P. Nora.🙏🏻

The Legacy of rock music is astounding. From the late 60s to the early 80s we were subjected to a deluge of the finist music. I loved Never Mind the Bolloks as much as UFO live. We should appreciate the wealth of songwriting as that cannot be undone. It was recorded by angels of engineers and if I should croak I will always remember Bodies as a work of pure art.

Thank you Mr. Lydon for existing in this time and space. I grew up in the era of Zeppelin, Sabbath and Purple and that was my early youthful indulgence. But I didn't hold it against you for shifting a genre at a time of generational transcendence in music history. You and the Pistols were the pivot point of that change...

John used to go to Hawkwind and Status Quo shows all the time before punk. Most punks have a classic hard rock background.

I love Jethro Tull. Especially mid to late 70's. Im in my mid 40's so they were from an older generation but i really went hard on the proggier stuff. Punk was never really my thing until more recently. Ive found value in most forms of music at present. I can definately give credit where credit is due and John Lydon was as pivotal of an individual as anyone in the history of music. Hes a damn entertaining interview to be sure and i really appreciate that he keeps his heart right on his sleve where it belongs. Most people have no idea what it means to be open and honest, probably because they have something to hide, but not him. He's the salt of the earth. And i like him more with every clip like this one that i watch.

Thank you so much for this interview. Really cool to see "Johnny Rotten" as just a reall7y cool and funny old English dude. A 1980 high school grad I was right there where I could have jumped on the Pistols and punk in general and I didn't at the time, though I did a couple of years later. Kind of a regret, I guess, but there's plenty of music to go around, and I can still enjoy it now after the fact. Much of what I listened to at the time has turned out to be less interesting or worthwhile in the long run. But unfortunately that's true of almost all pop music, in every era (this era is just especially bad).

John is so great I remember him talking about Tull in another interview (100 Club?) referring to Martin Barre as Aynsley Dunbar. Consistent being just a little bit off like trout and salmon. But... Martin L. Barre also has a miss in an interview saying that Sid Vicious said he like his guitar playing. Mixed Sid & John in that one. Or maybe Martin was drawing from his well camouflaged inner punk.🤔 Finish with... UnderWraps & Drama. Two of the 80s best albums.
