Welp...yes, I said that Moonlight Sonata was Bach instead of Beethoven. There is no going back. History has been rewritten.

The fact that Abbey Road happened after Let It Be and they got together to discuss another album shows that in their heart of hearts they didn't want to break up. But the fact they broke up shows that they kinda needed to. I've always thought if the business problems and deals weren't so bad they probably still would have broken up but perhaps a reunion even if just at a concert would have had a much greater chance of happening.

I don't know. George might have been happy to combine a solo career with his 'job' as a Beatle maybe. As I have understood it, John apparently really wanted out by mid-1969, and Paul really wanted to continue his career specifically within the framework of The Beatles. And The Beatles would be over the minute either John or Paul would decide to quit.
@MakingoftheBeatles

If not for the falling out I could’ve seen them going separate ways for a bit and then coming together to make an album every couple of years. I enjoy some of their solo work (mostly Paul, though All Things Must Pass and Plastic Ono Band are strong works) but they really did have a special magic together, like perfect puzzle pieces.

@@MakingoftheBeatles Whenever I listen to their solo work there's some kind of subconscious sadness or incompleteness I feel when backing vocals come on and it's not the other Beatles. And it's more boring listening to a whole album with just one lead singer. I think the Beatles having multiple singers is why even in the modern playlist age listening to a whole Beatles album still really works.
@MVrockersPS3
@MVrockersPS3 16 сағат бұрын
@@ansibarius4633 I do think they still would have broken up. Just the fact they never played again even after an entire decade just seems more extreme than the life forces that pushed them to go their separate ways.

@ I have a feeling (deep inside) that John maybe wouldn't have been 'allowed' to by Yoko even if he had wanted to, but, well, alternative history and speculation. Maybe they would. It might have diminished the magic somewhat if they had done so. The 'Beatles myth' is good as it is, for me.

I was a hard rock/metal fan growing up and Abbey Road was the first album I bought by them in my late teenage years. I knew Come Together was a killer track but the one I really liked was I Want You(She's So Heavy). That ending would've fit right in on Black Sabbath's Vol_4 album. They were one heck of a diverse band.

I really need to add a bibliography of sorts. So because Beatles fans are so obsessed (like me) there are a ton of good resources. But my workflow kind of goes like this : on the Beatles Bible website, there is a day by day recounting of pretty much everything the Beatles do. So I start with the very basic outline from that, then try to find all the information they reference, whether it be from books or interviews. It’s hard to say just one thing because there are so many! (And many contradict each other too)

Would you consider making videos about the Beatles' solo work post break-up? For example, I've heard about the revolving door approach to All Things Must Pass, and it would be so great to have a video made about it in the style of this one. Great stuff!

Interesting how, as John and Paul's relationship ended, they both became co-dependent with women. Yoko on a bed during the Abbey Road sessions is crazy. But not crazier than Paul having Linda in his band. I've read the first two volumes of "The McCartney Legacy" and Paul and Linda are always together to a seemingly unhealthy, co-dependent degree. It is as if both are afraid to raise their head above the cloud, fearing what they will find.

I have yet to see a full accounting of when Lennon offered "Cold Turkey" as the next Beatles single and got turned down. When was this? Before Toronto or after? Who did he pitch it to? The whole band? Or just Paul? This was what drove him to quit the band.

As a Scot, I can assure you that most Scottish country roads are not built for comfort or easy driving. At best, they are extremely winding uphill and downhill single track roads built like a rally cars wet dream. Which is apt because the speed limit on these treacherous single track winding roads is 60 mph.

It's Beethoven! Photo is wrong too as it's of Bach but should be Beethoven (of course). Nevertheless you can overlay a correction over that particular bit, like add - * Beethoven! - over it. Or something similar. It's been done many times in other KZbin videos, so it's very possible, and often done to correct mistakes.

it's not normal that you can have a drum solo other people can sing. it is easy when you make an spectacle about it, but when it's i a studio album that comprises the final songs of a band... how do you even consider Ringo to be "just the drummer"? I bet you can follow along the solo as if you loved drums as much as Ringo loved being a beatle.

The reason the Beatles broke up was because of a key personnel change. It was oil and water after that. And the real story (which is revealed already in a book on Amazon-- but not in any other bookstore in the world) will become public after a famous person passes away. Trust me.
