Haley then Morgan then Ariana. You've seen Haley's Creep which is fabulous but you really, REALLY need to see Morgan doing Dream On. Morgan trained at Juliard for opera, went to Broadway and graduated to jazz. She is amazing. Casey Abrams was on American Idol with Haley and they became good friends and collaborators. Haley and PMJ doing Seven Nation Army and Don't Speak are must see. PMJ is a deep, deep rabbit hole.

yeah, Haley and James Durbin, in my opinion were better than the final 2. It was obvious that J-Lo and Randy were against Haley, and she wasn't having it. Then Steven Tyler came out and told her forget everything Randy and J-Lo said because they were wrong and the crowd backed that up. Steven later said that was one of the reasons he quit , because they were playing favorites and he wasn't going to play that game

great reaction guys.... this was the first postmodern jukebox i saw and still one of my favorites. it does excellent job of representing the overall experience of what pmj does so well. not just the excellent vocalist, musicians and arrangement but meticulous implementation of "vintage" character though their outfits, expressions, movements and setting that virtually transfers you back in time. its also great how each of the women are unique in vocal attributes and styles yet can then also harmonize so well together... in addition, the dual bass play was very creative touch and notice how it ends with the bass getting the last word.... well, because its "all about the bass". 😎

Scott Bradlee in a genius way rotates musicians in his PMJ from a pool of extremely good performers that yet are called "musical outcasts" - by themselves inn the first place. It's his version of the Got Talent and Voice world, with cloudy interweb revenue, where performers are commodities that never become world famous and consequently never get expensive and consequently never get rich. At least he understands musical qualities a lot better than some Simon ever can, while taking loads of tangenti in order to finance the new rich celebrity lifestyle off of that business model.

@user-kv2tj4du8p I didn't see it as quality over quantity. The girl who sang the first PMJ verse obviously was the best vocalist of all in terms of range and dyn amics but her enunciation wasn't very clear and I preferred Megan's vocals for continuity thru the song. The bass playing by the two players seemed like a circus act and didn't add anything to the song.
@RustySax19498 ай бұрын
@@stevenmotchan2048 - I totally agree with you that Haley's enunciation is mush, which seems to be her style if you watch other videos of her. Slurred jazzy mush, you might say. A good vocalist with a decent range and dynamics, yes, but the mushy enunciation style, for me, is like fingernails on a chalkboard! Morgan (the blonde), is a Julliard-trained opera singer, who has appeared in five different Broadway musicals and branched out into soul and jazz. She has said in several different interviews that she really pays close attention to a song's lyrics, and with her vocal training, always, always, always, produces crisp, clear enunciation, regardless of what style of music she's singing: Operatic, Broadway, Pop, Soul or Jazz. A very hard-working artist that still takes voice lessons every week when she's home in NYC! The third vocalist, Arianna Savalas, is a respected jazz singer, who actually specializes in burlesque! Besides her rich alto voice, she can be hysterically comedic with her performances, especially with live audiences. She has often toured with PMJ as their emcee, as well as many, many cabaret performances. She's also a Harvard graduate, after studying at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. A very talented lady on her own.
