I’ve ridden fast bikes for forty years . These fellas reach a zen like state of consciousness when riding the TT course. How else do they consistently hit the same patch of tarmac with millimetre accuracy over 6 laps of a 37 mile bumpy road course . I couldn’t do that at 30mph never mind 200mph!

Banjos have some of the tightest strings along with Mandolins causing tuning and breakage issues for novice players. As for electric, I believe they started with hybrid electrics that really are more acoustic with electric amps. You can now get such kits to mod or buy built in most string instruments. Depending on the pickups or adding a tension adjuster you can get sound effects like with electric guitars. Some even have added electric strumming for a background patterns. I am just a novice with most strings, I have taken strings methods and explored most to a basic level before but the mandolin or banjo. I have been around them both with a year even married to a player of both, a love that burned me but the music was one of things that melted me back then. One of my favorite songs, I'll fly away, I like best with at least 2 or three banjos in the mix in a duet or trio style like this.
