My name is Commissioner Smart, years ago, when I was just an inspector, a small boy came to me with a tall tale of being abducted by aliens while sweating profusely. I listened to him tell the tale of how he had been kept for almost a week with no food or water, under an extremely bright light. While at first, I thought of the Fermi paradox and its impact on the larger question of are we alone in the universe, I began to stare more intently at the boy, it was then that I knew that he must have been lying, for when I looked closely, he was actually a plant

I mean, come on, it's like they're just hopping around, thinking they own the place with their slimy, webbed feet and bulging eyes that seem to stare into the depths of your soul. I can't fathom why anyone would find these ribbiting, croaking nuisances remotely fascinating. Have you ever wondered when the infernal beat of our putrid lives may finally simply just draw mercifully to a close? Another week, another month, another year and another Barshens episode has past (passed) and here we are soldiering on, Listening to this wailing crescendo once more. Sure, we all love Barry, Stuary and the gang but sometimes, just sometimes the sheer noise becomes too loud. But it's not the noise of eli and paul arguing; it is the noise of unrest in our eternal souls. I don't wish to sound morbid, even if the treadmill of life runs ever quicker. But here's the truth, some poor fool is going to stop what they're doing to slavishly read this nonsense - they might even spend the time to write it out and paste it into the comments section. What kind of life is that? Mindlessly transcribing nonsense written by someone who doesn't know what they're doing in order to share it with people that don't care. Is this all there is? People in a dark room answering questions that make no sense, only for someone else in a dark room to speed it up and plonk a whole load of gibberish on top of it for someone else in a dark room to type out again, so that someone else in a dark room can read it. So much futile effort -Image if we all just...didn't. If we took a breath, allowed ourselves to rest. Maybe Barry's not far wrong, we should all be plants - returning to nature and away from our glaring screens, our endless pursuit of the new, the exciting, the viral. Or maybe we should just invest in some higher quality trivia games. Who is to say?

The Fermi Paradox drives me NUTS. I don't like statistical arguments because we define the parameters, and we are woefully ignorant of all of the parameters. We're always reasoning from ONE instance, humanity/life on Earth. Our intelligence is partial, how we reason is likely partial (it's an evolutionary process and a tool to process information from the environment, not some magical world-understanding tool that gives us 100% grasp of the universe. True, unlike other animals, we can see some kind of 'objective' reality, not just subjective awareness, but how much do we not sense or process?!?!), and our statistical analyses of large-scale complex processes can only also be partial! Rant over I guess.

I'm with Eli all the way. Back in school we had a similar game called Stories With Holes. It's whole premise was that there was one detail about a given story that would tell you the answer. It's less a test of logical puzzle solving and more of just paying attention. In order to make the puzzles difficult they employ purposefully strange and confusing modes of description, among other dirty tricks, in order to obscure what would be an obvious truth if it had just been described properly in the first place. Game is bullshit.

Ok. So Paul has never been with a man but is open to the idea. He mainly just wants to be loved and accepted. Eli was touched by a boy to completion as a child and dislikes thw idea of men but not penors Paul has had sex dreams about eli and semi srsly tried sticking things in places, but eli would rather die alone and be embalmed in his brine than consider it.
