The first Barston Masters qualifier of the year had to be cancelled due to ice so a trip to Underbank reservoir was the order of the day...

Many a happy time fishing there,getting on bus from Thurgoland with my wicker basket n tatty rod bag,in the 80s there was some fantastic shoals of bream and roach and some cracking trout,dropped off for a while as they stopped stocking it,but over the last couple of years it has gradually made a comeback,great vid and good to see someone promoting the place,i need to get back back down there.

Can remember fishing years ago with a mate on our platforms in the water near The dam head,we caught plenty of bream but had to carefully play them into the net cos we lost a few to pike just in front of us

Hi.. Beeen watching alot of your utube vids and have learnt such alot of you over the last few months .. great stuff.. One question .. with winter just around the corner would you fish a cereal ground bait mix and leave out the fishmeal .. or does fishmeal also give good results .. regards Peter ( BELGIUM)

Jamie, do you think that scaling down to an 18s or even a size 20 hook might have brought more indications/bites? Great show even to the point of struggling for bites, very honest!👍

Quick question mate. When your fishing on the clip do you always leave it clipped up or release it once you've cast or only if you get a big fish? I've only ever used the clip when carp fishing using sticks to hit my spot each time. I've never fished big waters with the feeder so never needed to clip up
@CatchFishingChannel7 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, yeah I just leave the clip on and only take it off if I hook a fish which needs to run pal
@1Cocknose17 жыл бұрын
Nice videos pal, How do you take the line off the clip whilst playing a fish and having all the tension on it?
@CatchFishingChannel7 жыл бұрын
Yeah I always leave it clipped up pal unless I hook a 'lump' lol I keep the clip in the same position as mentioned in my Thursday Vlog_1 uploaded last week mate

4th March 2017. Had a drive past today and went round to the boat club. The guy who runs it was telling from the 1st April it's going to be NO FISHING !!!. Apparently, the lease isn't being renewed or something? Can you shed any light on this?.
@CatchFishingChannel7 жыл бұрын
Oh Geoff if that actually happens it'll be a sad day as the history that place has as an angling venue is very special. Yes there's truth in it and I believe it's down to money. I think they want more money for the rights, they reckon Penistone Angling Club should pay more but they don't want to so it looks like it may go to the Power Boat club. It'll be a real shame if it does won't it mate :(
