00:00 Why choose Damflask for this challenge?
05:49 Session One (The Bay)
16:54 Session Two (The Plantation)
29:52 Final Session (The Neck End)
With strict travel restrictions in place here in England, I focussed my attentions on a VERY tough venue where I gave myself a 3-day challenge to locate and catch some fish for the camera!

Well done Jamie......worked hard for this 👍...... personally I would have found a count of 12-14 feet in depth..in sub zero conditions...as through my experiences deep water never produced a bite for me☹️.....a hard lake in which I fished this January (last two weeks).....5 x4hr sessions produced in excess of 120lb of bream 👍....in around 12ft of water.....4 X cage feeder casts... chopped worm..2 pieces of corn... sieved groundbait....half worm or corn hook bait.....changed to bomb over the top done the trick 👍.....then 2 casts on feeder ....then bank to bomb ......fed no more than half a pint of groundbait...12 pieces of corn for a 4hr session.... accuracy on casting a must 👍....ps love your videos 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Have spent this winter paying close attention to our koi carp and during these very cold days that sit totally motionless torpid but even when its -5 during the dark hours go out with a torch and they are all about as soon as it's light back to sleep. Strange things these fish

@@CatchFishingChannel hi Jamie. yep in the very deepest part totally motionless yet go out there 10 at night and they are all moving about as soon as it's light back to motionless. It's something I've seen on the rivers there will be totally no fish not a bight or rising just at the point of darkness some signs of life rising and so on. Folk think the fish find hiding holes in the winter i don't they will just sit in the current for days totally switched off but the koi moving after dark makes me think if it wasn't so very cold night times there might be a bight or two to be had

Great video Jamie, a skilfully put together story with a well deserved happy ending! I love it up there too and know how tough it can be at best of times but that was something else! @@CatchFishingChannel The last time I fished it into winter was a couple of years back. In total contrast it was dead low, after that really hot summer, maybe 2018? If I worked this out right it was around 31-34ft deep. Its a little bit difficult because your weight is in grm instead of oz. If your lead had been 8oz it would be around 4ft per a second so around 8 seconds for 32ft. So guessing 30g is around an ounce so that would be 1ft per a second. But I don't know if a tight line would slow the sink rate down because you have got that arch of the lead coming back towards you so you could of only been fishing around 16m out. That depends on if you clipped up after the lead has been on the bottom or on measure stick. Any way well in mate tough fishing that
