I don’t even like cheesesteaks and Angelo’s changed my life. I literally flew across the country to have their pizza and cheesesteaks (went to a concert too). But seriously it was amazing. A friend of mine from Virginia drove out to meet me and loved it as well. Angelos is legit THE best food in Philadelphia.

Cooper sharp is a brand of American cheese that was made in Philly for decades. I think it is the best on cheesesteaks because it melts creamy.

Cosmis 8th and Dickinson. One of the best spots in south philly and some of the best people in the city. House up the street blew up around Christmas last year and they went running to it to try and help out.

I had a cheesesteak with Cooper's Sharp White American on it for the first time in my life like 2 weeks ago and it changes the game. With homemade bread + Cooper's Sharp, it's hard for a cheesesteak to not be 9+. You add some onions and keep the meat juicy, it goes to the stratosphere.

You too are nuts. Angelo’s is #1, Curly’s Creations in Levittown is #2, and Cafe Carmela’s is #3. You can’t buy rolls like Angelo’s makes which is why they are a cut above other shops. Check out Gazzo’s out in Pottstown for smoked cooper sharp cheesesteaks

King of Pizza is 5 miles from Philly so as long as you're taking in the local fare you should try it. 'King of Pizza' has been in Cherry HIll NJ for at least 60 years, since the Garden State Race Track, since the Rickshaw Inn and since the Latin Casino attracted the likes of Benny Goodman and Frank Sinatra. Best sausage pizza I've ever put in my face. I grew up in Cherry Hill NJ, then 18 years in the Navy, now I live in Jersey City where I've sampled A LOT of NYC's best. Among the best there's a certain standard, King of Pizza meets the 'classic pizza' standard and their sausage is best. . I like meat on my pizza and I now almost always order pepperoni. The only other place I trust the sausage is John's in JC. I couldn't rank Razza, Totonnos, Prince Street, Johns or Joe's. To me they all meet the standard of great . . . they're just different. King of Pizza in Cherry Hill meats the 'great' standard. Except their sausage is my favorite in the world. . By the way I've spent weeks around Naples and riding my bike through Tuscanny. It would be fun to see what Dave thinks of pizza in Italy. I say no pizza there is close to what we enjoy here.
