One thing that I don’t like about this show is it’s misleading people into thinking you need a crisp to have good pizza, which is 100% false. I’d prefer my pizza like this over some of the top spots he’s been to. I’m Italian, from NY, and grew up with all the top spots he’s been to. I used to go to John’s etc….The flop can contribute to the grease blending with the dough, which is key to most good pizza on this planet.

As adults most people grow to like more foods that have savory as opposed to sweet qualities. That change in the palette takes time and experience trying new foods. To say " I just don't like mustard!" Or anything for that matter shows one simply has not experienced those flavors in the right context to develop the taste for them. I'm sure most parents experience this when trying to expose their children to new foods.

The mustard pies in that area of Jersey definitely aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I absolutely love them for some reason. I’ve had thousand of slices of all different kinds of varieties but next to cheese and pepperoni a good mustard pie is king. One man’s 6.3 is another man’s 9.3
