Even though the food is good you should boycott the Spring Street Deli. One of the owners, Anthony Gargano, took a neighborhood cat and dropped it at a closed shelter and now the cat can’t be found. This was so cruel of him. It is so unforgivable. Please join me in boycotting in memory of Kane. You can find evidence of this horrific incident in the Times Union and Daily Gazette.

Ok - my final time suggesting it for Dave and crew - before you leave the area, you have to do Kay's Pizza in Averill Park --- it's an institution of the area for Pizza - since 1958 and in a unique setting for a pizza place.

It wins consistently on the best of polls each year, but some people absolutely despise it because it's different - but not in a bad way. It's thin, crispy like Dave likes, but it's not a traditional NY style slice. It's a pan pizza that's not thick. Regardless, I think Dave will love the location, the history and the people. It's nestled on a lake south of Albany, NY and is out of the way - but it's always busy and open only May - October each year. It's an institution in this area.

to add to the comment below. the owner of the pizzeria knew the cats owner and were the cat lived. he just talked to her about the cat that day and decided to drive the cat 20 miles from home after the shelter closed and in 20 degree weather leave the cat stranded.

Best bec is on Audubon ave and 191 here in Washington heights at best market bodega. They get a bit of egg bacon and cheese in every bite along with spk. Then they like panini it on the grill so it’s still soft but a little crispy. It’s out of this world. Come to our hood and find out a true bec 10 potential.and the bacon is perfect every time.

The owner of this joint is now in hot water because he allegedly took a neighbor’s cat, drove it to the Humane Society and dropped him off there AFTER HOURS in the freezing cold on January 4th 2024. The cat ran into the woods and is still missing. The owner has been charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty.
