2016 National Championship Game: UNC down 6 to Villanova with a minute and a half left. Marcus Paige scores 8 points down the stretch, including an off-balance, double pump "This Will Live in NCAA Tournament History Forever" 3 pointer to tie it up. Then Kris Jenkins calls game. As a UNC fan, I've never been more gut kicked by any play in my whole life.

London Fletcher was absolutely on that Rams team. Had they scored there they would have only tied it with the PAT. I guess they could have won it with a 2-point conversion. I don't think that was really a heartbreak scenario like the others before it. The 28-3 game is FAR bigger of a heartbreak than it was.

The only time I've cried over a sporting event was World Cup. Sobbed. Even worse, it was in public at a place not full of other fans - so there were those awkward, pitiful glances from people passing by that probably thought I'd had a domestic argument lol. Once or twice a baseball game will make my eyes a little damp. Hockey is a different sport for some reason. Happiness and brutality are the emotions, idk. 😄
