6:17-6:53 THIS IS WHY I TRULY LOVE DANA WHITE!!! And why ALL sports fans and anybody who is sick of everything being politicized & the drudgery and redundancy in the age of social media & 24/7 news cycles should appreciate & respect this man. He was determined FROM THE BEGINNING of all this. If it were not for looking forward to fight nights and then watching past fights on KZbin & ESPN+, I may have gone insane. No bullshit. I'm so glad I subscribed to ESPN+ & ordered 251. Money well-spent. And I've become a diehard UFC fanatic as a result. I even have begun going back & watching that UFC: The Beginning series on ESPN+. Shit is GREAT. What a great deal that was when UFC & ESPN linked up. Keep handling business sir!

I think Dana is impressed by Robbie's knowledge of the history of UFC and Ultimate Fighter and being able to recall things off the top of his head without notes or anything. The passion he has for this topic when he does a UFC interview is real unlike a lot of podcasters and sports reporters just doing a piece and he gets Dana to be a little bit more candid and friendly.

Absolutely love that their is no covid and bullshit outside topics talked about during the broadcasts. I turned on a nba pre-game show a couple weeks ago and i was disgusted about all the racial talk and shut it off until the game started. And not that, thst stuff is very very important, and the players want to use their platform which is awesome. But obviously the league is just doing it for pr. When i turn on sports, especially during these times, the last thing i wanna hear about is any political or news shit in general. Same reason i havent watched or listened to espn talk shows since the tiger woods mistress shit. I dont wanna hear about all the off the field "drama", and get into their personal lives. If its an interview with the actual athlete, thats one thing. Or if its a feel good story.
@BVMUSICNJ3 жыл бұрын
Apples and oranges. The UFC has some black fighters but the NBA is overwhelmingly black. To sweep those issues under the rug when it affects the players and their families isn't a good move. As to you being disgusted by them addressing it maybe you should try some empathy, regardless if they make millions now I'm sure nobody ever threw slurs at you growing up.
@shooeeeeee3 жыл бұрын
@@BVMUSICNJ nah this some bullshit. The fighters are allowed to say what they want on in interviews pre/post fight as well as tons of stage time for conferences and questions for fans. They are also pretty open about that on social media. To avoid being some dudebro, the fighters are mostly concerned with the fight as its such a dangerous sport and shit is gruesome if you fuck up. I don't think the first thing they think about after surviving close rounds or brutally ko'ing someone is "BLACK LIVES MATTER VOTE THIS ELECTION WOO"
@stevencoardvenice3 жыл бұрын
I agree that that stuff can be annoying, even when I agree with the social or political views being promoted. This crap started after 2001 when the sports broadcasts started promoting all the u.s.'s illegal wars and occupations with military propaganda, using active duty service members as props. Now it seems there is a new cause every year. When I watch UFC, I dont want to hear about all that shit. Good on Uncle Dana. If the athletes want to make political statements that's fine, but it shouldn't be sponsored by the broadcast team, or by the company. I think it's unwise in the long run to have the "BLM" logo so prominently displayed on the court. It's really quite distracting, and gives the impression that the NBA is actually partnered with that specific organization. It's fine for one game, but not every day. Obviously Adam Silver wants to show off how liberal and woke he is, I get it. Personally, I'd prefer a giant picture of Malcolm X on the court, as opposed to some Soros-backed woke organization which promotes all this transgender stuff. I think that would be funny and cool.
