This whole album just screams melancholic reflection of summers that seemed to fly by in an instant.

This is one album that helped me through the loss of my father when I was 15. So thankful my ears have this band to listen to still, at age 31.❤

I never understood just how cleverley sweet the first verse is, cuz our eyes literally view upside down and our brain fixes it to see right side up. Neat

As a youngin I'd steal to my older sister's music and would play this album night by night. I wasn't mature enough back then to have experienced the feelings of these songs but now that I am older and having felt them I'm nostalgic for the innocence. Truly an album that has only gotten even more heartfelt through time.

A haunting melody combined with poignant lyrics is a hallmark of Ben Gibbard's writing in this time period.

I can’t believe it took me so long to get into Transatlanticism. I’ve been so obsessed with it and now I think it might be my favorite album of all time.

❤️ this album! This song accompanied me in 2005 and 2006, my darkest years. Happy and normal on the outside but felt like a walking dead on the inside. Listening to this song in my current mental state, it feels like the past is a dream.
