what does bart mean with push the button when the dog is antecipate and throws the wood away

Interesting I like both Bart and Michael Ellis and Mike seems to thing the dog can't distinguish between a fast retrieve and a slow one so the speed of the retrieve is based on the personality of the dog. I think Bart may be right with this one.

Not quite, dogs will retrieve as fast as they can if they understand what you want them to do and they want the reward. Bart is comparing a confused dog with a confident dog. Michael was comparing a slow confident dog with a fast confident dog.
