Kudos for opening bottles! It's a pleasure to be able to sample from a wide range on any given day/evening. It also let's one to compare different whiskies or different versions of the same producer as well as play around with blending, which is a lot of fun as well. Well done Bart!

A lot of people say that after a bottle is opened it no longer has collector value. Those people are correct, the seal has been broken. All my bottles are of course a collection of whisky. Everybody is correct depending on their use. One viewer said what I have are groceries not a collection...just something to drink. Also true. Bart

Scotch Test Dummies makes a lot of sense and I was just saying that in jest. I love your guys’ channel and although I have 90+ bottles they are for drinking with my wife and friends and not for collection. So I’m with you all the way. Please keep up the great content because it’s been fantastic!

Starting to get a little more diverse. Thanks for sharing. One of the great parts of whiskey drinking & collecting is the hunt & where that takes you. My two favorites are Japan & Ireland, because they we relatively unknown & presumably not depicted as being worthy. The runner up would be Italy; their diversity & nuance is impeccable, from wines to grappa. I’ll end there. Happy hunting & cheers to great health.

Started collecting when I first started getting into whiskey, but decided not to later. But after seeing all the Laphroaig bottles together, that looks amazing. Maybe just do Ardbeg, Lagavulin, and Laphroaig's sometime in the future. That would impress the chicks...👍Aye, Fonzerelli!!!!

Way cool, Bart. Very nice collection. I, too, ran out to get the Ardbeg Tin with 10 year inside. I think Ralphy thought that this ten year had some extra oomph. It was very delicious!

Great review of your bottles, Bart... Awesome! I kept thinking a strange thought, with such a collection I wonder what you think to go for on a day you're not filming, if it's a good time for a dram. I know I could write my own version of that, but my collection is tiny now... I stopped going to the store and buying for a while and my collection reduced. Then I would go to the store only when there was almost nothing left and I tended to only buy good values that were my favorites (for example Old Pulteney 12, etc.). In any case I find it interesting what you guys reach for on an off day where you do feel like pouring a dram. Cheers!

Please please please do a quality review of Baker's 7yr bourbon from the unreviewed shelf, it has been my favorite bourbon for quite a while now. I've had many but uniqueness, price, and availability makes it sail to the top of my bourbon list. Jim beam product. I get a pronounced dried apricot note on the nose and palate that I have never gotten on any other bourbon. It's in the 50$ range and over 50% abv.

How many bottles are in your collection? So are you gasing your whiskies? Many of the seasoned tasters are saying whisky usually goes a bit flat after 6-12 m0nths once opened depeneding on the whisky and how much air is in the bottle. I know Liquorhound states hes gassing as his collection was up to 2800 bottles last I heard. I now have 80 open bottles and afraid to open my new ones until I finish some of my older openings. To much whisky and to little time and kidny's....:))))

I don't gas. I've noticed some of the Laphroaig's will sometimes feel a little flat after a few years. We are in the middle of a gassing experiment that we film every January...check that out. We've had Mark from WhiskyCast on the show many times. He does not gas any of his whisky and has a bigger collection than I do. But to each their own.
