I know very few women who want to be proposed to in public. It makes the experience a spectacle instead of an intimate moment between partners. Also, one should never ask before they are sure of the answer---aka long discussions about it beforehand (not the proposal, but if the relationship is ready for that step).

Adding on to the Bruce Willis thing; My step dad is a police. He was pulling over someone who was swerving in Columbus Ohio. He asked for his drivers license and it said Bruce Willis. ieva I think it’s because he’s a celebrity, and has the ability to post online about his experience if he wanted to. Yes they were closed, but if they had served him he could have given the name of their business out in a good way and brought in more customers for them. Like, “Bruce Willis was here! He said he loved this place!” kinda thing. Since they did send him away, he could have posted or told people how bad they were and that would have hurt their business. I hope this makes sense!

I agree on what you are saying, but perhaps because of the personal gains the bartender and bar owner would have got if they let him in; the bartender would have got a memorable and impressive story to tell all his friends, or even be on buzzfeed, creating social gains and prob a big tip, same for the owner plus it could lead to potential promotion of his bar. It’s sad that everyone is so obsessed with random stars, but yet wouldn’t take the time to perhaps help someone out that’s apart of their community and truly needs it, but humans are innately selfish creatures- often to their own demise, and there’s profit to be made associating with the famous. I’m not hating on anyone, it’s just ingrained into us for legit reasons of survival and all of us struggle with the balance sometimes.

I used to be a bartender for huge concerts (think the stones and beyonce) and we had HUGE bars with about 12 screen registers at the front. If the register screen was upright and had a light on you could order there, if it was down you couldnt. So this drunk swedish tourist tries to order at a closed register for about 5 minutes before walking up to me at the end of the bar, screaming at me in multiple languages and grabs me by my shirtcollar and pulls me halfway over the counter! I got my manager and 2 bouncers took him outside and kicked him out. It was about an hour into a three hour gig and I work a VIP bar. Dude payed 600 dollars to get kicked tf out 👌
