Being a bartender in a casino have the opportunity for jackpots Get to know the gamblers and you're set 👍 If you have 20 regulars spending a couple hundred ever visit... Chances are that one of them hits something big throughout the month. The ones you get to know tip big

Hey Jason I really love your channel and I was wondering if you could help me out. I have a job as a bussboy at a local nightclub working Friday and Saturday nights. I really love the job and I want to become a bartender at this establishment. However, I need a second job to pay the bills and I'm looking for something that would help with bartending experience. I was wondering if there would be any establishments where I could get some kind of bartending experience throughout the weekdays. I'm just looking for anything that makes money and is a building block for becoming a bartender.

Just follow the stuff I have in this 4 part mini series and take any job you can get. Then try to move up into a bar back position in your current job. You will make some good $$ and will be 1 step away from bartending.

Hey Jason, Most people I've talked to about getting a job say that it's less about schooling or teaching and more about experience (years of experience or for new people like myself, starting as a barback). What are your thoughts?
@BartendingPro7 жыл бұрын
Experience will always trump training, and is always the quickest way in. Start out, you have the option of starting in other positions (i.e. barback) and biding your time to promotion, or start out on your own, build your own experience and try to show your value by demonstrating how you can be a valuable asset. You should do and try both; get it somewhere anyway possible while continuing to hone your craft on your terms if you haven't been afforded a chance (yet) at your job. And always be the squeaky wheel. Forget rules, go as high as you can (owner?) and let them know your intention, then continue to remind them every so often of your intention. Do that and you'll behind the rail before you know it.

Cool video! I never would have thought of casinos or country clubs. Here's my question if anyone (or Jason) can offer advice. I'm an ethical vegan, so I don't want to be involved with the food side of things at all, such as taking orders, bringing food out, etc. Is that realistic at all? I've never worked in a restaurant (except fast food as a teenager), so I'm new to all of this. Any help is appreciated!
@BartendingPro6 жыл бұрын
What's up C D... It's not impossible, but you'll basically have to find a vegan only bar, or start your own. Any establishment you work in as a bartender you will 100% be required to take orders for any and all things on the menu, deliver food to customers, clear plates, etc ... Let me know how that hunt goes! cheers
@clownworldhereticmyron10185 жыл бұрын
I'm also an ethical vegan. If you want to be involved in this industry, honestly, you're gonna have to bite the bullet and just deal with it. If you don't want to, there are many other types of jobs out there.

I'm interested in supporting with the membership but what does it cost? Fee states $10 per post. So each time you make a video , I het charged $10?
@BartendingPro6 жыл бұрын
Hey Nohemi... I'm not sure where you are getting $10 from? As a patron (link in description) you can pledge by video if you like, but it starts at $1. Or if you want to become a member of the bartendingblueprint.com site, that's just a one time donation to join.

Im live in a midium size russian city and there just not enough bars. And if there is the job is always taken by more experienced ppl,dunno why im watching yt life advices that are targeting western cultures or specific individual countries like US,im planing to move to a different country like Demmark or UK ,since i speak decent English with northern amerecilan accent.
@BartendingPro5 жыл бұрын
Yeah I admit and say all the time, the content on this channel is derived and intended mostly for US based bartending. However, there are many universal truths in the industry world wide. The variance is largely in regulation and licensing requirements. Take what you can, but tweak to your location!

I trimmed the opening section a tad, but everything else in here is very intentionally included. The better you understand the situation you're walking into, the better your chances will be to actually make this bartending thing happen. It might be on the longer side, but if you watch and take notes, you may find I'm handing you the golden keys to the whole gig in this mini series. But note taken... I'm working on being more succinct ;)
