Those are my favourite little gems of Suk's music! Absolutely in love with no.1 and Margaret makes it sound so light and effortless, beautiful! Thanks for sharing x

I was very impressed by the first piece. Although it is harmonically rather conventional, it is beautifully expressive. 9/10 would recommend

Yearning, tension, drama - a very romantic piece. And a masterwork! With its melody and harmony... Taking my hat off .

This one I especially liked. The Db, the accidentals instead of changing the key signature every measure while cycling. A great lesson for writers; - both composers and arrangers to make it AS SIMPLE AS POSSIBLE to play.

What gems! Though I had heard the first piece sometime ago I was straining to hear who wrote it , as couldn't put my finger on it when it played on the car radio as I travelled through the night. Suk sounds an interesting composer and individual. How on earth has he slipped past me virtually unheard till now, I wonder. Thank you KZbin for helping to shed more light on his works

Josef Suk, Czech neglected composer. I played this song as a child. A fairy tale, another amazing music by Josef Suk.

Beautifully played. On a par with Moravec's rendition, which is high praise.

A lovely recording of Suk pieces! Very musical! I only have one concern, the allegro part of the dumka could be a tiny bit faster, but other than that good job!

Great composition ! Why only four pieces and not the whole set ? Don't you like the others ?

Margaret Fingerhut didn't record the others. Has nothing to do with if I like them or not.
