Correct the WBP kits are AKMs style front ends, it’s funny that they would be called 101s … Russians started the 100 series in the 90s by putting 74 front ends on all calibers.

I'm wondering if this will fit one of my Beryls, I'm gonna have to cut the second sling mount on the right side of the retainer, but the lever on the beryl is on the outside instead of the inside like every other AK. I wonder if that'll snag me and I won't be able to install it.

Hard to say if it would work. You would probably have to look at in person. If it doesn’t line up, you could return the handguard. I’m sure you aren’t the only one thinking about the compatibility.

Can this fit ak105 styled AKs?

It should work if you have the handguard retaining kit. If you have doubts hit up customer service.

Does it add much weight? Been eyeballing this handguard but part of me thinks it might just make it super front heavy

It does add a noticeable amount of weight compared to the standard ak furniture. The weight penalty is definitely worth it. Just on the ergonomics alone it’s worth it. But there are more benefits such as a rock solid quad rail to mount accessories and better heat management. I’m currently working on the review.

I said the rail is worth it and it doesn't add as much as it seems to the front. 2 I installed mine how zenitco tells you to with a soft blow hammer and pound it into position. I have had 0 problems with it yet. Zenitco says do not use a file to install their rail. In

@@KO3A69 The rail had way too much material to just hammer it in. I tried using the hammer at first and I ended up destroying to finish of the rail because I was hitting so hard. You are supposed to hammer it in. But in my case it wasn’t going to fit unless I removed some of the material.

@@BERGQUISTARMAMENT The again I am everything but caring of the finish on it. For I never care about resale or looks. Is this soft aluminum since where it's going into literally could act like a file. I took a 2 * 4 put it at the top with a soft blow hammer and then hit it like it was a nail that refused to go into an a oak bored. It is there for good. Does AK are horrendous at this thing called receiver stretch.

OMG who told you how to install this?!! everything you did is wrong. you dont file at all. you use a punch and hammer it in. by hitting the handguard retainer. NOT the rail!! go watch the zenitco videos that's how you do it. it should not have gone in that easy for a few taps. you should hammer it in hard

You are correct that you are supposed to hammer it in. That’s what I tried at first. But there was way too much material on the handguard to fit. I actually bent the rail a little bit and destroyed the finish I was hitting it so hard. After realizing it wasn’t going to fit I made the choice to file it down.

@@2000raycNot exactly how they did it but yes. They hammered the rail in by applying force close to the receiver. Very smart I wish I would have seen that before I gave it a go. Different techniques but same results. In the Zenitco video they don’t have to apply much force to make the rail seat into place. That’s how it supposed to be. When I first tried to seat the rail, the lips would barely start to go into the receiver. In the end the lips on the rail sit about 60% into the receiver. I regret not documenting the whole installation process.

I’m about to put this rail on my kr103 kalaahnikov has a video of him installing this exact rail on an ak no filing but the rail was made for kalashnikovs and kusa makes good clones
