Putting the top-tier fight aside, that Kawaki scene at the end with his PTSD, his 2 father figures, and finally his "Decision" was all beautifully done. For that alone I'd already give the episode 10/10

Theres alot of callbacks throughout the episode (Naruto doing the Might Guy/Rock Lee taijutsu pose, the 5 piece combo from Naruto vs Sasuke: Final Valley pt 1) but the most overlooked one is in the Kawaki scene at the end. Kawaki hiding behind the rock holding the prosthetic arm is a callback to Naruto in the very first episode of the series, when hiding behind the tree holding the forbidden scroll. Naruto represents for Kawaki what Iruka represented for him back then.

10/10 episode. The tension, fight, animation, music, backstory… everything was perfect. I felt so sad for Kawaki. He was put into a very uncomfortable situation that reminded him of his past trauma and putting his beloved Hokage on the line. My favorite character for sure.

The reason Naruto was even able to have kurama sealed in him was due to his uzumaki side they have abnormal amount of life force and chakra and Naruto's mother also had that more than Naruto does. It requires a ton of life force and chakra to hold a tailed beast which Is why almost no one can have one without dying. So that is the only reason Naruto could use the baryon mode

What I liked most in this episode was the perfect way they managed to portray the horrible felling of an anxiety/panic attack with Kawaki's trauma. This is exactly how it felt like when i first read the manga. The ones who watch or read boruto without being bias knows how intense things get during the peak moment of an arc. One good thing is that ishiki was he was super nerfed due to jigan's weak body he was like at 30% full power of jigan's body when he was revived and even than jigan couldn't hold even 25% of ishiki's power so everyone was lucky as Amado's plan to weaken jigan and then force ishiki to revive in that state makes him a hero

this only worked because Isshiki did not have a vessel for his body, all he did was shave 20 hours of Ishiki's already short life, Baryon mode didn't even hurt Ishiki and if he would have been in a good body it would have been a joke. The writing for Boruto has truly been abysmal.
