thats not at all noticeable in the anime, the take liberties that make no sense - tbh i've always wondered why he couldnt react since he does so every other time (incl Konan's 100's paper shurikens or mid explosion, etc) - its only because someone mentioned the manga and how its supposed to be that u get what is supposed to happen, but its just confusing in the anime cause its not instantaneous, in fact they're still moving with forward momentum (slow motion yes but still covering distance so def not instantaneous) which makes u wonder "why so slow this time tobi, clearly theres time to react if u've moved a few inches in the interim?"

Minatos speed with the Rasengan was a bit more crazy in the manga, he actually nailed that Rasengan in his body before even catching the kunai. Anime makes it look slower and kinda wonky, as in, why would Madara not just slip through it again.

But I wouldnt say the anime was wonky, It just uses anime logic, like we were watching this scene from minatos perspective so things moved slow and he could react and whatnot while tobi was slowed down and couldnt react. Let's not even account for his illness but Minato won't fall for his Tsukyomi, he ain't a novice at combat. He literally figured out Tobi's ability within seconds of combat. Amaterasu won't be fast enough to hit Minato, we saw that with the Raikage dodging Sasuke's Amaterasu. Susano'o is the only defense he can use against Minato and once again, without the Eternal Mangekyo, he cant keep it for long. Eventually his eyes will tire out and his Susano will weaken or disappear. There's no way he would be able to hit Minato with his Susano with his eyes being strained every second he has it on. It will become a war of attrition that he cant win. IF he had EMS then you can make a case but he doesn't so sorry, Itachi is strong but I'd give him maybe top 10 in Naruto at best, ranked near the end.
