One thing that really puzzles me about Naruto’s supposed chakra nerf after Baryon Mode, is that “the chakra is really destroyed” shouldn’t matter. Naruto’s chakra was collided with Kurama’s and was destroyed, ok cool, makes sense. Naruto’s body’s capacity to hold chakra, the “chakra tank” if you will, should be unaffected. Let’s say you burn the gas in a car’s tank so aggressively that it somehow completely ceases to exist. It’s gone, the energy and matter are destroyed. The car’s gas tank is still there and can be refilled without an issue. Now consider that, as has been illustrated multiple times in Naruto, chakra stems from lifeforce but isn’t the lifeforce itself. People expend and recover their chakra endlessly, but die or drastically shorten their lifespan with any jutsu that markets itself as needing lifeforce. Naruto’s massive lifeforce as an Uzumaki is the source of his massive chakra reserves. Lifeforce is also treated as something that never recovers, a fixed pool that you CAN draw from but has a clear limit and is gone forever once used. So the question is, did Baryon Mode use Naruto’s chakra, or his lifeforce? I don’t think it matters. If it only destroyed Naruto’s chakra and not his lifeforce, then his chakra would simply regenerate like normal. If it destroys his lifeforce, that’s a more serious issue as it would shorten his lifespan, and might make it harder for him to recover chakra; but that just means it’ll take longer for him to regenerate all the chakra his body can store. It shouldn’t affect HOW MUCH he can store. The tank remains unaffected.

Naruto's chakra nerf is less destruction of his own chakra and more on account of Kurama effectively doubling his chakra. The eight trigrams seal, the thing that kept Kurama in him, was specifically designed to leak Kurama's chakra into Naruto so Naruto would have an extra pool of chakra to draw from. So in a way, he had two gas stations readily available to him to replenish his chakra. Now he only has one

You forgot that Naruto doesn't need to get rid of the shadow clones in order for them to send him chakra any more. He managed to reverse what he did in the war by making his clones gather nature energy and send it to him continuously the way kurama could to them . even without kurama he still has a way to fight while basically having infinite chakra just on a smaller scale then he could before.

He makes 3 shadow clones and proceeds to have them start to gather nature chakra and as he speaks to shikamaru he goes into sage mode right before they leave the village. Having set up the clones putting him into a continuous state of sage mode until he was shocked out of it by seeing borutos death .

@@carmicheallewis3840 Double checked the chapter. chapter 64. I dont think he can have his clones continuously give him sage chakra. It is still like before. The clone has to disappear for the real naruto to get the sage mode. Shikamaru even asks him right before they leave "That sage mode of yours, you cant sustain that long right?" Naruto response "dont worry. quite a lot longer than before actually. call it... the wisdom of age". Naruto still has a time limit and is not a continuous state. Could be wrong but the chapter doesn't explicitly state he can have his clones direct the nature energy to him so he can maintain sage mode continuously.

Sage mode: controlled harmony of different opposing energies. Baryon mode: controlled conflict of different opposing energies. Maybe someone who clashed their chakra with nature chakra, using their own body as the battleground, could possibly create a baryon sage mode. Maybe naruto could potentially multitask pulling in nature chakra while simultaneously forcing his chakra to combat the flow. But that sounds like his body would just get destroyed like in the case of 8 gates. Except more violently.

10:14 honestly, i feel like a better explanation for baryon mode's method of generating power would be the reaction between matter and anti-matter, when those two meet, it releases a huge amount of energy and both the matter and anti-matter disappear. or more likely converted into energy. however this explanation only works with baryon mode, since we know naruto and kurama can give their respective chakra to each other without it destroying the chakra

To be fair, Naruto and Fukasaku tried training him to take in nature chakra while moving, but he wasn't able to properly mix it and had to keep getting hit with the stick. So once he turned it on, it's theoretically possible that he would be able to pull it in while moving cause he no longer needs to store and mix it precisely, he's just pulling in more to collide it with what he has. It'd still have a time limit, but it might last longer than just colliding what was drawn in normally.

Your explanation of Baryon Naruto is a bit off. In the Manga and anime it was said that Naruto’s and Kurama’s chakra were both consumed (not collided together) as raw materials to produce a new type of energy. This new type of energy when collided against another chakra (which happened to be Isshiki) destroys that chakra. Saskura analysis was to confirm that all of Kurama’s chakra had been consumed (again not destroyed from colliding it with Naruto’s). Baryon lasts for as long as Chakra can both be consumed from Naruto and Kurama as raw materials for the new form of energy. It never said Naruto and Kurama collided their chakra with each other’s destroying it to make that new form of energy. So Naruto didn’t lose half his natural chakra pool rather his total chakra pool which was Naruto’s and Kurama’s combined was reduced by half since all of Kurama’s chakra was consumed as raw materials.

one issue is that if kurama was exactly half or more than half of narutos total chakra then either they both would have died, or naruto would have died first depending. the fact that Kurama died first means naruto had the larger chakra pool and his chakra total isn't reduced by half, it would have been reduced by less. the rest of what you said i agree with, i just find that the smallest of details are the most important to have correct. also i find it funny that this would mean that naruto has more chakra reserve than over half of a 10 tailed beast and effectively more than all 9 tailed beasts put together as kurama has more chakra than the other 8 combined

Couple of physicsy points: We've done fusion a lot more than 3 times. I think you're referring to times, that the energy we got out from the experiment was greater than what we put in. The collision of chakra turning into energy, leaving no chakra behind, is more similar to a matter-antimatter collision imo. Two bits of one type of energy, with one difference (the 'anti' bit, in Naruto's case the origin of the chakra ig?) colliding and creating a different form of energy (light, or for Naruto whatever new super-heated magic juice Baryon Mode runs on)

Wouldn’t the nature energy have to be in a different form for it to be reactive to itself….? Having more uranium 235 gives more energy but it still needs electrons to become reactive. I think it's a neat idea, but what if he could absorb the energy created by clashing nature energy together. Like how energy can't be destroyed but only changes into a new form. If he could add that energy to his own pool of Chakra, it might allow him to soar past his old limits. Or another possibility is that he could also try mixing different sage modes to come up with a new stronger mode than he ever had. Like Snake Sage Mode mixed with Slug and Toad Sage forms a new godly sage mode.

One answer: mini shadow clones. Like I can't believe NOBODY ever though about that in the 60+ years of existence of this jutsu. Especially since Tobirama created it mainly for spying. Wouldn't it be even more OP if one could control the size of the shadow clones? On that regard, Naruto, who's known to always think out of the box, could use mini shadow clones on his shoulders the same way Jiraya used the old frogs to access sage mode. Either that or he could simply also fight with the two old frogs, and they would each channel a nature Chakra stream to clash with each other within Naruto's body, thus fueling the new Baryon mode.

I understand that Baryon Mode needs some form of downside, but I just don’t buy the whole: Its not your chakra getting spent, but the total capacity of chakra spent. Its so counterintuitive to me. So when you use Jutsu you “spend” chakra. But your body generates it back. So what the fuck exactly is Baryon mode colliding. Chakra is chakra. Why or how does that have to do with the total capacity of your body being able to generate chakra? Why cant the chakra used up be the same type of chakra you spend on ninjutsu? Its so weird to me. As far as we know too this is the only real way to destroy chakra like this too. Idk. Im not a fan of it.

At about the 19:15 mark we're reminded that the tailed beasts are just nature chakra given life by Hogoromo. the problem with naruto using a sage baryon mode would be the fact that he would cause irreversible damage to the planet itself, since he's colliding nature energy with nature energy, he'd be using up around double the amount regular sage mode would be using post kurama, and basically deleting that nature energy (technically converting it to kinetic energy but that ain't turning back to nature energy). wait, if a person is born with chakra... then technically that already broke the first law of thermodynamics, right? since thats' energy that spontaneously generated just by being born, that can then grow with practice and experience... so maybe instead of nature energy, how about naruto try to find away to siphon his opponent's chakra and colliding that with itself to make baryon mode. and just like regular baryon mode, he should change his fighting style to a grappler to keep making contact with his opponent and keep draining chakra from them.

One thing to note about the numerical representation of chakra, it has to be balanced equally. So for 2 chakras to combine they each have to be 1/2 of the total, while if 3 combine they each have to make up 1/3. With that in mind, if Naruto with kurama was 1 chakra, then adding sage mode wouldn’t bring it to 2 like you said, it would be 1.5.

I don't think we will ever see Baryon mode again, but I have a theory that Naruto has become the ultimate sage. We have been told that you have to stay completely still to pull in nature energy, but what if you don't have to stay completely still? What if the sage mode is not about sitting still and is more about the concentration and focus you need to collect nature energy? When Naruto said that he is a much better sage now, maybe he is saying that he found a way to skip the sitting still part. Maybe he found a way to remain so calm and focused that even when he is fighting, he can gather the nature energy. Maybe he trained so much in sage mode that he can do it subconsciously, like his sage mode is on auto pilot or something like that. Don't really know how to explain it, but that's why we have our favourite youtuber that explains things about Naruto right here.

Hi, physicist here! Slight corrections to your nuclear physics: Baryons are protons and neutrons, any hadron with three quarks or antiquarks, with a neutral colour charge, is a baryon. Fission is done with neutrons, not electrons. Electrons are leptons and simply will be absorbed by the protons in the nucleus, a form of beta decay called electron capture. Baryons mode collides chakra together, which is more like nuclear fusion, where two similar sized nuclei collide together and combine, releasing a bit of energy by increasing their binding energy per nucleon. I dont blame you for getting things mixed up, it wasn’t important and you’re not a physicist.

Tbh that's nothing. Add Flying Raijin, Shadow Clone and Reaper Death Seal into the mix and broken wouldn't come close to describe it. From what I dubbed 8 Gate 100 Healing Sage Mode you'll be able to do beyond Naruto levels of Multi-Shadow Clones. Now imagine gaining all that exp from using those techniques and storing all that Sage (nature) chakra away in your 100 healings from 1000+ Shadow Clones after deactivation and couple with the fact that you'll get stronger the more times you use it, you'll need literal gods to fight and the best part it's all in the realm of possibility that even Ten-Ten can pull it off. Nothing can stop you and it can get much more busted than that if you were to really thing about it on a wilder scale.

Unless Boruto is truly the end of the NARUTO franchise, shueisha/shonen jump is all but guaranteed to put the focus back on Naruto and go forward by going back due to multiple reasons, one being the fact that Naruto is one of their most lucrative franchises whilst Boruto hasn't garnered a fraction of the success Naruto has. I think remake anime of OG is very likely, while a Naruto franchise equivalent of DB Super and/or reboot are potential routes they could go after.

A possible solution for Naruto to maintain a constant baryon mode reaction while moving: Six path senjutsu. The Six path power that Naruto received in the war arc by Hagoromo allowed him to draw in nature energy passively, allowing him to move freely without relying on shadow clones. If Naruto is somehow able to attain Six path power again (maybe through Hagoromo) he would be able to draw in a constant flow of nature energy while moving, giving him unlimited amounts of chakra to use.

He's using shadow clones to train while he's locked away to increase his power and sage abilities. So everyday he's using 1k plus clones at a time to rapidly increase his learning curve like he did to learn wind style. He also uses 1k plus clones to exercise till exhaustion rapidly improving his stats. When he's done it will have only been 4 days for him because time flows differently. He comes out stronger than everyone in base because of the amps from having 1k clones doing physical training. You heard it here first.

You do realize Naruto theoretically could use a fukasaku and Lady Shima to pull in the sage mode or you can use Shadow clones to be on top of his shoulders like fukusaki lady Shima therefore it is theoretically possible in addition a third option which it's more than fanfiction ask Naruto could use the same principle of the acoustical seal because nature chakra is is more important than generic chakra

Before getting captured, naruto was accepting the use of ninja tools. While I understand we won't see him using them to fight for him (its simply not his style). I do see him using a storage device that he just collects nature chakra so that he can always use it. This way when he activates sage mode he can extend time using the device as a battery requiring less personal chakra for clones. This would also give him more options with using nature chakra in unique ways like Boruto using Uzuhiko.

You would have to have two separate vessels of nature chakra in the body and as far as weve seen you cant collect two sources of nature chakra and store them separately. Unless you can collect one amount and collide it with a second amount as its absorbed

Well In irl fission some matter is converted to energy hence the huge amount of energy released during fission. So maybe the collision of fission did cause some chakra to be converted into energy that made Naruto super strong and burnt ishiki's timer, it also resulted in a different(non tailed beast) type of product chakra making Naruto's base stronger. (Also we can imagine the part of the chakra that was converted to kick-ass energy was kurama's ego and just the raw product chakra was left behind)

@@tash5186 fusion is exactly what Baryon mode sounds like. Two "atoms" of chakra combine to create a new kind of chakra and immense energy (Baryon mode). It's achieved in a small vessel (Naruto) and creates a large amount of energy. Fission is achieved by splitting an atom by throwing a particle into it at a high speed. That sounds more like Naruto would be the one to die in this process. Fusion requres immense heat and pressure, Kurama's larger chakra pools could supply the necessary conditions to achieve fusion which would also explain why Naruto was spared. I don't believe he simply used more of his chakra than Naruto's, he needed to use more of his chakra to provide stability to the form. Then we get the chakra cloak burning like a dying star, and the lack of radioactive byproducts causing chakra sickness, etc. Even the way MC explains fission is just describing fusion. Additionally, the byproduct of fusion is a new element, and we just happen to get a new Kurama. Could be one of the many ways to explain that.

I wonder if for an explosive version of using nature energy, Naruto doesnt need to be still. If the timing for the collision is small enough, he could be "still" for the split second necessary. Basically of he can do the whole thing in 1 frame, he can move while doing it. Or maybe some of the efficacy of the power is lowered as a result but not fully prevented. Conversely, what if he managed a way to use his opponents chakra the same way Baryon Mode did with Isshiki? Each hit using the opponent in the reaction

The explanation of colliding nature energy against itself is a bit of because when they collide it just creates a bigger nature energy because they have the same element or property of energy while naruto and kurama had raw materials of energy because Naruto has human chakra (normal one) while kurama has ninetails chakra( other form of Chaka) and as they collide with each other they creater new energy because naruto and kurama has different element or property of energy

I think that the fact the Rasenshuriken was supposedly destroying chakra pathways in both the person who gets hit and by the person using the Rasenshuriken got pretty much over looked so Naruto could have his signature move, I'm sure Baryon mode will also have the same consequences, that being Naruto will find some way to ignore said limitation.
