Ok got it, the book you made is a populist book separating the elite academe from the poorer non academics Let's just say that the book you compiled is beneficial since they were from learned people, as do Digong's war on drugs because the drug problem is real according to the average Juan who actually witnessed it. Did the war succeeded? maybe, maybe not, but one thing's for sure, the survey showed that the Philippines became one on this.

The challenge with any disruptive (for better or worse) leader is that they inadvertently become the sole focus of attention that the public end up losing sight of what the larger issues are. I haven't read the book but based on this discussion it makes a good point - we need to study the broader elements that resulted in this presidency, and not just the president himself.

Here's an analogy to explain it. Putulin mo man ang bunga patuloy pa rin ito lalago at bubunga pero kung hahanapin ang ugat mamatay ang puno nito kasabay ng mga bunga. The war on drugs of the president is cutting the stems without finding the root of the tree where it came from or started that is why there are still drug addicts and pushers out there roaming in the streets and continuing their business.
