Christianity is everyday way of life, its Christ like, especially in the issue of injustice against His children.

It is a means to an end. Drugs harm the general welfare of the population. People who brought in drugs, people who use and sell drugs. How much harm can the general populace accept. Do you mean to say the human right of these person are who cause harm should be protected? How about the right of the people who are affected by the proliferation of drug (shabu)? A tooth for a tooth is the better option at this point in time.

Caveat tho. If we're politically aware, we know who are the "real drug lords". The Snakehead. This War on Drugs is just an "illusion".

If you invoke the term Christian you should refer to the personality of Jesus Christ the founder of Christian Religion. For the record. Jesus Christ never spoke a word against the established government but he criticized the leaders and members of the Temple or Church. When the Jews under the instigation of the priests who felt threatened by Jesus Christ preaching against them was asked whether the subjugated Jews should pay taxes to Rome. Jesus replied by asking for a coin issued by the governing Roman Empire then he asked: Whose photo do you see on this coin? The Jews answered: Caesar's. Jesus countered: Then give to Caesar what is Caesar's and give to the Divine God what is God's.

Even if you say that Christ's opposition towards the sanhedrin were politically motivated, you should find from Him and his early disciples and even from the early church fathers (pre romanization) that they also participated and held political offices replacing the pharisees, otherwise Christ rebuking the Jewish leaders is simply an indication that the Lord is telling us that matters of faith should not be politically handled, like what the pharisees have been doing. Sad to say, when Constantine Romanized christianity, was the time when christianity became a religion, a state religion, a political religion. So yeah, I have nothing against religions involving in politics, but to say that Christ started a religion is an outright lie, and Christ is absolutely not a Roman Catholic, his apostles that you see in the Bible never had a religion, if they did then it was Judaism, which apostle James described as a good religion. So yeah, you roman catholics go fight for your political factions, but keep off the christians, like me, who do not consider our faith a religion.

Jesus wasn't a pacifist. The early Christians and even modern day Christians call Jesus the "Prince of Peace". He wasn't. We tend to miss one thing: Perception. That's OTHER PEOPLE'S PERCEPTION of Jesus (as the given example in the book of Peter). But what did Jesus actually think OF HIMSELF? Book of Luke: "Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.” In another version, from Matthew: “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn “ ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law- a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’ c “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it." So, why would families be divided as Jesus said? It's because Jesus' teachings were considered so controversial and "revolutionary" DURING HIS TIME. [Specific examples: a) The story of the Samaritan. About loving your neighbor. Jesus told this story to a LAWYER. The Jews and the Samaritans had bad blood during his time, that anyone listening to this would've been gravely "offended". Modern day example, just for context, look at the animosity between Israel and Palestine now. That's the weight of Jesus asking the lawyer to "love his neighbor". b) The Beatitudes. Jesus called for the reversal of the social order. c) Jesus' anger at the temple. When he flipped the tables of the money changers, etc. When people read this story, what they see is just Jesus being angry at using the church as a marketplace. (Fun fact: This event POSSIBLY occured twice. Once in the accounts of the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke) And in John's account? Jesus actually carried a whip. This is the picture of how "angry" Jesus was at fraud.) Now, take this from the ESTABLISHMENT'S perspective (Church and State). Who's watching Jesus during his time. How did all this look like? It was a political statement. For them, Jesus doing that was "an act of rebellion". The Pharisees were offended, for sure. So were the Romans. ESPECIALLY Caiaphas. He profited greatly from the sale of sacrificial animals during that time. No wonder they crucified him. === To take this a step further: DURING HIS TIME, Jesus was from the minority. "Left-leaning". Jesus was a dissident. And what does the State does with its dissidents? Captured, tortured, killed. Jesus --- captured, tortured, killed. During his time... Jesus became an Enemy of the State.
