Please like so daley sees this! Remember that height gives you like +10 aim, and enemies on the ground get -10 aim... it gets better as you go higher, so it's a big advantage. Also, in concealed missions the enemy can't see you as well when you're up top. You mentioned restarting the game, and it this point it's not worth it. You might as well learn as much as you can and come back better than ever. One thing I would love to see is if you do characters from Rico's brigade instead of just the random character pool. The other idea is that you just start off with a bunch of Phase I clones as rookiees that get their own nicknames and basically create their own unique stories, which would be way more fun to watch. Just throwing out ideas! Thanks :)

Daley, the problem is cause of the start. You used the same soldiers everytime and didn't level up your rookies. Once your A squad gets wounded, you only have rookies, and this happens. I consider restarting the game, cause it's just gonna get worse man

We should've gave him like a long list of what's really important after the first episode and what each thing does rather than just waiting for troopers to die like this. RIP Your soldiers can Hunker Down (the shield icon), which is mainly to give extra defense and dodge, but it can also stop soldiers under the effect of burning. (Same for the scientist as well) For items; -Flashbangs are useful, Disorienting enemies stopping (most of) them from using their special abilities such as Mind Control and Marking. -Medkits are a must, especially on Specialists who have the Combat Medic abilities since they can have an extra healing charge when equipped. It also stops negative effects of (acid) burning and poison. -Battle Scanners can help you find enemies without them going aggro, especially when you are on a mission without Concealment Feel free to add more advice for him in general for those that see this! Edit: Also, resetting the campaign is up to you

I am not trying to be mean, actually quite the opposite. I think if Daley keeps in mind what he has learned and starts again with this knowledge he can beat it. That is just the cycle of xcom

To do list 1. Upgrade your armour cause right now you have the worst armour you are ment to have upgraded it by the 4 maybe 5th mission cause I am around your point in the campaign and my soldiers have 15 health no joke. 2. Upgrade your weopons cause once again you have the worst weapons. 3. Add pcs they are really helpful you can add extra health or dodging skills plus a lot more. 4. Remember this if one of your soldiers are burning and they have bad health hunker them down that stops the burning. And if you do restart make sure to add all your soldiers to the character pool so that you can use them again. Please like so that he can see this.

Love the series and I wouldnt mind a restart. Next time in the beginning you need to have rotating squads so late game you have more options if you lose people. For me by end game I have 6ish squads of 5 people that are bonded with eachother and have decent rank. 1 of those squads should be your A squad ( The squad that you send on the most risky and important missions) .

Ok for missions like the one you did Daley you have to have a group move forward with the scientist and the rest stay back and defend. Also when a troop is burned have them hunker down to get rid of burn or other status effects

TIPS - hunker down to stop burning, Also please move up your troopers to get better shots, Never take 50% shots if you don't have to. Use nades more. Bring Specilists with the gremlin heal. Objective first, then saving troopers. Kill enemies then heal unless critical. Also restart campaign maybe on lower difficulty or maybe you will be fine. Just research armour and guns quick because the imperials/aliens upgrade their gear and if you don't then you fall behind and get steam rolled. Get the Workshop to make experimental nades like freeze and fire, they are really good! Do main story missions or take down alien factories, The avatar meter is almost full and doing them will reduce it. When the meter completes the game counts down and after that you insta lose so don't let that happen. Also Love this series good luck. Don't give up please. Watching your troopers die is still fun to watch haha

Dont worry man and dont be so hard on yourself, the game is brutal and unforgiving and we all started as newbies at some point. You have the advantage of streaming and getting advice too. If you end up failing and needing to try again from the beginning that's cool I will be watching them all.

you need to start researching weapon upgreads. need magnetic weapons upgrade then plasma weapons upgrade for increase damage per attack. then research armor. after predator armor there is warden armor. increase HP.

Damn man, your utterly screwed at this point... for some reason your EXO-suit didnt do what it was meant to do, Merlin shouldve gotten the rocket launcher and ALOT more HP in that battle but it didnt do that... and IDK where your magnetic weapons went, they should be in your weapon selection so i think your game may be bugged or something. So, Gg, AVATAR units are the HARDEST, so youve got some massive problems.

Look just reset before you do anything upgrade armor and weapons first the man with the biggest stick wins then worry about facilities and everything else the rookie soldiers instead of giving them grenades give them a medkit so they won't have to depend a specialist have a A Squad B squad. C Squad so that way you can swap them in and out if there are just two enemies don't be afraid 2 March right up in front of them so you have a hundred percent chance of hitting them and shoot I use this strategy all the time

I'm only 2mins in while commenting this and do NOT know this game and actually like to play it once I get working again how ever if there is a way to skip days create a poll to do that or just supply runs to pass time and train your men as I'm sure they get XP for every successful mission combat or not.
