Here is a clip from my first flight in a Jet Aircraft. According to EASA rules, you need to complete at least 5 touch and go and a full stop landing to endorse an aircraft like the Boeing 737-800 NG on your licence. Here is my last circuit followed by a full stop landing. Enjoy!

Very nice video! Always super exciting to fly a jet for the first time, or any other airplane for the first time.

I didn't think they'd pay to have you fly vfr circuits in the real aircraft over the simulator... This seems to surreal.

Yes because they want the pilots to get used to the real plane and get over the feeling of “omg I’m flying an airline for real”.

I noticed you didn’t seem to use much trim after landing before powering back up. Did you have to hold a lot of forward pressure? Hand wheel maybe? Or am I missing something completely?

Complete novice here but have been a passenger in 737's and love them. My question is why is there so much hand movement on the yoke wheel? Do you actually get a "feel" of the aircraft? I would think that they are so large one could not reeally feel much hand control. Much more so in the new joystick Airbus types thanks I love to fly here on youtube

+Glen h I think it has to do with the minor ajustments to stay on course. During an approach the effects from wind and turbulence are trying to blow the aircraft out of the course, which a pilot is correcting with the movements. A plane steers by moving the steering surfaces on the plane. The air flowing over those surfaces will let the plane go up, down, roll and yaw. The fact that the pilot has to make such big movements is due to the low speed on final. A 737 flies most of the flight around 280 knots. On final however (as seen in the video) the speed is around 140 knots (depending on weight and winds). Because the wind speed over the movement surfaces of the plane is so much lower, the response you get is also lower. That's the reason why the pilot has to make those big movements. Note that I'm not a pilot (flown a cessna once) and I think that this is the reason, but can't guarantee it

+Bart Smith The Boeing 737 has aileron and elevator feel mechanism. Which at low speed makes the control column less reactive and allows for big inputs for tiny adjustments in pitch and roll. At a higher airspeed the computers picks this up and makes the control column more sensitive to inputs and so only a small amount of force is required for adjustments and need to change pitch/roll in a TCAS/terrain situation.

Lots of runways in Norway have yellow markings, or at least used to have them (no longer the case at ENGM). That would probably be because of the snow.
