Thanks for a good video. Lots of good info. I'm coaching LL machine pitch for the first time ever & never coached baseball before. Got a boy that does well on the tee, but with the machine, he ALWAYS swings way under the pitch. Is his problem pulling the shoulder/head out, dropping the back shoulder? I've never heard of this being as significant of a problem as this boy has. Got any thoughts?
@UltimateBaseballTraining6 жыл бұрын
So glad you enjoyed the video! Do you have a video of his swing, or could you try to take one? Just a quick clip would help me provide better advice!

Ultimate Baseball Training I just posted a video on my channel of my son in the batting cage. I can see that he’s got a problem with a downward swing plane. Several of the boys on my team have this issue and it’s really limiting the contact. I’m honestly looking for any feedback that I can give them that may help. Thanks a ton!

Can you give some tips or drills on infielders receiving a throw from the outfield. Thanks. Oh, love your videos.
@rowdychristensen7 жыл бұрын
Darryl Woodhurst I think that I can help you with that. Just have the infielders and outfielders line up in a strait line. Next, they can throw it to one another acting like they are cutting it off. Pretty much a relay.

How do you get a hitter to stop lunging forward when they swing and or shift there load forward ?
@UltimateBaseballTraining7 жыл бұрын
Try to have them think about keeping their head between their feet. If you think about this, you literally can't lunge forward if you do it properly. If you lunge, your head will be over your front foot, not centered in the middle. Try that and see if it helps!
@martyhelsing8327 жыл бұрын
Thank you we will try it out . And the spine angle drill too

BaseballSecrets Thanks so much! When I saw this i noticed this is exactly what i have been doing in my swing. last year i was batting .363 now this year im batting .217 because i have not been thinking positive and my mechanics are off because of it but after watching this video im gonna try it out and see if it helps me out at all
@albertpizarro38576 жыл бұрын
One of the main causes of pulling the head is because the hitter is early on the timing. Just practice front toss and let the ball get deeper. It takes time but eventually you will improve contact.
@UltimateBaseballTraining6 жыл бұрын
I agree. Timing is everything!
@somekindaguy1003 жыл бұрын
Timing for sure ,to early or when late and trying to catch up the head tends to fly as well when the hands are late

Hey Im really pulling the ball alot and out in front of pitchers any idea(s) on why I might be doing that or tips to stop that?
@UltimateBaseballTraining8 жыл бұрын
+Michael Bray You need to consciously try to let the ball get deeper. Focus on hitting the ball up the middle or the other way, unless it's an inside pitch. That's the only pitch you should always be pulling!
@telekev18 жыл бұрын
Pakkun, you might be letting your hands slide forward as your front foot is still finishing the stride (pre-swinging). Try to keep the hands back, knob pointed at the catcher area and get that front foot down. You should begin to drive the ball right up the middle as Michael describes.
@gjeanvillacres6 жыл бұрын
practice hitting to left center field then up the middle if you are a leftie, righty vice versa

Joe is right. At 4:35, you're telling us to keep our head down. At 5:45, with glove on head, your head is not down. You gotta clean this up!
