Rickey was one of the real special talents that ever graced a Diamond. I was fortunate enough to be able to watch him play. RIP Brother Man!

Imagine if Rickey played with the larger bases and limited pick off attempts. 180 SBs. He was so smart he would never be caught.

Ricky won his first World Series against the SF Giants. That was in 1989 and that was the earthquake World Series. RIP, dear soul. May God comfort your family, friends and former players that played with you.

What a sad day. R.I.P Rickey. You will be missed. No one has ever stolen bases like you. You were a big part of my childhood.

He and Billy Martin were almost inseperable. If Billy left the A's and went to the Yankees, Ricky was close behind him. Both of them defined "Billy Ball." I got to see Rickey play against the Yankees at the Coliseum, and Ricky was the one that scored the winning run off of a bunt in like the 12th inning. This was back when Don Mattingly was the 1st Baseman for the Yanks. Another great leadoff hitter. RIP Rickey. My Condolences to the family.

Greatest leadoff hitter that had power as well, if he got on it was almost a guarantee he'd make it to third. RIP Rickey.
