This is pure poetry. It's an ode to baseball, from the National Anthem to the finality of a win or a loss, from greatness to footnote, it's the story of our greatest game, more than 50 years of baseball cinema assembled like they were written in a beautiful stream of consciousness and always belong exactly where we find them. This film belongs in The Baseball Hall of Fame. It should be broadcast during the World Series. Every man woman and child who has ever played the game should see this. Thank you for your amazing contribution, I have watched this so many times since I discovered it yesterday.

That moment when batboy Bobby Savoy hands Roy the "Savoy Special" - the bat they made together - and you see a camera flash go off nearby. A fictional photographer takes a photo we never see.
