Outstanding video,I’ve been taking my son to pitching lessons. He’s learning to throw circle change and I guess a form of the Star. He’s only 11 but he’s got size and a decent arm for only having pitched one season. With videos like this I can’t understand how a kid who has any ambition couldn’t succeed!! Looking forward to seeing more videos

My 11-year olf has had great success with the circle change (big circle), and no pressure on the tips, but the pressure is applied on the first knuckles down from the tip of the fingers. Make sense? The ball just dies, it's beautiful.

I coach 6 through 8-year-olds in a coach-pitch league (the coach pitches to their own team). I throw with a 4 seam grip for consistency, would a changeup grip slow the ball down and make it easier for the kids to hit or would the additional movement and loss of control remove any benefit?
@user-sp9ue1ws7c7 жыл бұрын
Mark McKnight probably don't. Throw hard enough to make a difference... whatever is the most comfortable
@d_i_s_p_e_r_s_e7 жыл бұрын
Ryan M Yeah, I thought about it and I need to throw hard enough to get the ball over the plate without lobbing it so reducing the speed with my grip probably isn't necessary.
@UltimateBaseballTraining7 жыл бұрын
Good question! I would probably just stick with the fastball grip personally. Maybe you could play around with your throwing motion.. maybe less arm and more wrist like you're throwing a dart? Something to try out...

Hi I’m a 13 year old pitcher and a throw a 2-Sean, 4-Seam, and a slider and I’m trying to find another pitch that could get batter to swing and miss but also a pitch that people can hit but when it does come off the bat it goofs off. Is a circle change good for that or not and if it’s not what is a good one then.
@jnevids25 жыл бұрын
I throw 71-76 mph fastballs and 57-63 slider so what would you estimate a would throw a circle change if I threw it.

Is the star change similar to the palm ball
@zionhutchcraft7 жыл бұрын
Dylan Marvell Similar? Yes. The Palm ball is a pitch you put in the palm of your hand and just throw it. Star change is with pronation

Hi Im 14 years old and I have a question about what strength training I should do. I do band work 2 times and drink 3 whey protein shakes a day. At the gym, what exercises and how many should I be doing? Do you have like a routine you follow?
@UltimateBaseballTraining7 жыл бұрын
I try to stick to compound and explosive movements for the most part, but my training is always changing. Compound movements are great because they incorporate many body parts with one exercise.. think squats, deadlifts, cleans, snatches, etc.
