Breathability is very important to me because I have asthma. I now need a mask I can wear for 8 hours so it's even more important. Best review so far. Thank you!

Thank you for the comment! 😀Glad to help out! I love it personaly. I found it to have a light restriction in comparesen to the RZ. Love my RZ, but this filter just seemed a bit more breathable. And if it helps you out I have asthma and allergies, so I am always in some screwy breathing scenario as well. LOL

This seems like an advertisement for the Base camp mask. Base camp looked far more annoying to put on with all those straps and it even took you considerably longer but you said it's somehow easier?
@WoodWorkTherapy
@WoodWorkTherapy 2 ай бұрын
Yes, it was easier in my opinion. How you ask? When you put it over your ears, it holds it in place while you get the perfect strap fit. For some people (such as myself) easier is not nessisarily faster. It does take longer to put on. You are correct. However, it is easer to get in a proper position to get a good tight fit. It's a trade off. The RZ on the other hand you can get on faster per say, however the fit is not always correct, so additional adjustments may need to be made causing it to actually take more time undoing and redoing the strap over an over to get a proper fit. You always have one side trying to fall off, and cranking your neck while your trying to get the proper fit. I have neck issues and I do not find that part of RZ comfortable, or easy by any means. So may sound like an add, until you look at the reasons why I said that. More so a well thought-out opinion really. I hope that helps.

@@WoodWorkTherapy I'd have to try them side by side because the RZ seems much easier. You put it on your face and velcro the back, no straps to mess around with. I have masks and respirators with lots of straps and I don't wear them because putting them on is a pain, takes too long and they just aren't comfortable. Plus then the straps are always catching your safety glasses or hearing protection, makes you not want to use any of it. Ultimately the best piece of safety gear is the one you're actually going to wear and just being able to quickly throw the RZ mask on without messing with straps is a big plus for me.

@@DigitalEternal I can feel thta. I wear mine with ISO tunes 2.0 amzn.to/47POdf2 and regular old Harbor Freght safty glasses, and it sits well. I also have some safety glasses I use when spraying that have extra pading and allof them work just fine. I still occasionally use the RZ, it's just not my go to per say. But that is my preference, and works best for my needs. You needs may be different. Remember that honest reviews will have a mix of opinions and facts. Paid reviews are just facts/propiganda being spouted. I just got hit up for a paid review the other day, and declined that offer, because I feel the viewership deserves facts over propaganda that some corporate body tells me to say. I will not be a puppet for a cooperation, and neither will this company. :)

If I need it for outdoor allergies would 1 micron be better than 3 micron ? Thanks for video good into.

The question you raised is indeed intriguing. For clarification, please note that the information I'm about to share is intended solely for informational purposes and should not be construed as medical advice or a diagnosis. Wearing a mask outdoors can be beneficial in filtering out allergens such as pollen, animal dander, and mold spores. Masks serve as a barrier, preventing these particles from entering your nose, mouth, and lungs, which, in turn, can help alleviate asthma and allergy symptoms. However, it's essential to understand that masks may not completely alleviate all allergy symptoms, particularly those related to irritated eyes. If you're dealing with severe allergies, it's advisable to consult with your healthcare provider to explore additional treatment options. Regarding the micron filtration, the choice between 0.1 microns and 0.3 microns has implications for airflow. A 0.1-micron filter can be more restrictive, effectively trapping smaller particles, but it does pose some trade-offs. Airflow can become restricted as well, which may cause difficulties for individuals with conditions like emphysema or asthma. For those with healthy lungs, the difference in breathability between 0.1 and 0.3 is minimal. A 0.3-micron filter is more breathable while still effectively capturing most particles and virus materials, though not as efficiently as a 0.1-micron filter. In conclusion, the choice of filter depends on the seriousness of your specific health concerns. It's important to note that there is limited vetted data available on this topic, especially in the context of allergies. Keep in mind that lower-quality filters are often used for addressing allergy issues. In comparison, the Basecamp facemask is considered highly effective. Opting for the Basecamp facemask could potentially help you avoid other unwanted allergens, in addition to common allergy triggers. A quick disclaimer: The information I've provided is based on facts gathered from online research and articles from reputable, vetted organizations that specialize in mask performance. This information is not intended to be medical advice or a medical endorsement of any specific product for health benefits. While the data presented should be accurate, it's essential to remember that we are not a medical organization. Anyone know how well these masks work for those of us who with eyeglasses? Also, are you locked-in with their replaceable filters or are there 3rd party filters?

I found that it works well with standard and work glasses. Little to no fog. Fit is a little more comfortable than RZ for glasses. However, it will raise your glasses just like any other mask so keep that in mind. As far as filters go, the ones they offer are rather cost effective so I don't think you would need a 3rd party filter replacement. However, it does seem RZ mask filters fit okish in there. I did try that out of curiosity. That may be a good sign if you find generics of those. However, I would not recommend that, as the fit was not the best.

It really seems to me that your decision was made up before the comparison started. Would the results have been different with a free RZ mask?

Actually, it took us about 2 weeks to start filming that video. The reason was that we wanted to make sure we had the facts straight before we posted it. So regardless of how an item is acquired does not affect how the review works. Anyone who sends us any products understands the following: "By consenting to a review for your company, please be advised that we reserve the right to exercise the following privileges throughout the process: *We may decline to review your product if it is deemed of poor quality or inadequate value to consumers. We will provide an impartial and honest review, which may involve highlighting flaws that cannot be remedied in the product's current state. We may ask that you replace faulty items or components at your expense if the item received is found to be defective, so we may finish the review with a fair opinion.* This is part of our legal agreement with all manufacturers that reach out to us. The whole thing is rather lengthy. We have done this because people are finding that other channels' reviews are not honest. We do not want that kind of reputation on the internet. We want to be known as a trusted source for reviews, and advice. We know there are a ton of RZ dust mask fans out there. We own about 6 of them all paid out of our pocket. And we do really like them. However the Basecamp ones had data to prove effectiveness, they actually are more comfortable in my opinion, and they are more cost-effective. That is all about product quality, the time and care it takes to make a product and evidence-based facts. Not sure what more we can tell you. We hope that it helps, and I personally hope that helps you understand not every review is fake. There are some of us who are not interested in selling our soles for a free product.

They fit bassed on head size, and top of nose to chin length for both RZ and for Basecamp masks. You're hight and weight would have no bearing on the mask fit for any mask. It sounds like you may need to get a larger size.
