Thanks Vic - interesting to see the fuel squirt up like that - I had no idea that's what it did.

So happy to see this video. I usually pump about three times. Didn't know it was a waste. Will change my practice from here on. Thanks Vic!!!

Could you plz make a video removing and inspecting the fuel inlet filter of the carburetor.
@baselegaviation16146 ай бұрын
will try to do that but it might be a while. there’s a picture of it on page 64 of my maintenance book. Just disconnect the fuel inlet line to the carb a then unscrew the remaining fitting and the filter will come right out.

Another good video Vic. What about us that have FI? How do we adjust those? I have the Bendix RSA-5 (IO360-MIB) First time with an FI system and I'm almost ready for first engine start. Also, off video topic but at 2:09 I see a battery that's not an Odyssey battery on the table. Universal batteries? Is it used in the RV? Do you have info or opinion on it?

you need to look your specific FI servo, but basically they will be the same, with an adjustment screw to set idle rpm’s and then either a thumb screw (bendix) or mechanism (airflow performance) to adjust the idle mixture. I’ll try to video one the next time I have one available. As for the battery, I think it came out of the tug. I usually have a 12v battery on the bench for testing stuff. I only use Earthx or Odyssey batteries in the aircraft.
