My school pre renovation had those same notification devices, but they had the original simplex chevrons from the 60s when the building was built. All remnants of the original system were trashed during renovations.

I always find light plates cool because it lights the lettering like they are saying "FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!" Something that strobes cant really do. (Ive made this comment 3 times on light plate vids i cant get over it lol)
