Thatch is perfect for when you are playing around with a base design, testing out flat areas, high limitations, etc. You can build it and wait till the final design before collecting and committing to the final materials. Or for creating that beachey feel when making some shacks on Herbivore island. Yes..... I only do single player. Fuck raids and the slaughter of my babies.

True that, crystal is harder to get in the not desert places. This is why I made my base on the Desert Island with the oil nodes, right in the crescent moon bay. There is crystal right up that ledge and all around the Drake caves and further away on the desert coast. But generally they got more Crystal spawns in the desert areas that they made later on.
@1110jesse4 жыл бұрын
@@ShinForgotPassxXx There is a nice ledge with flat area in coords 61/51 where I built my base, overlooking the desert. Tons of resource all around me, and only dinos that come really close is pteranodons, so the place is pretty safe too. Following snow line to the west will lead me to crystals, as there are tons of them in around 50/48, big nodes here and there. First time I cleared them I got something like 1,5k crystals, but it took many days for them to respawn, which is super long considering I have time to play 4-5 hours a day.

An interesting guide for new and advanced players. Something that would be interesting for every skill level of players is an indepth guide/look at waht kind of bases to make. With examples and seeing as you like to compare playstels and other stuff of Ark, this would fit right in with the rest of your vids. Just some bases from, like, small, medium and big and compare their layouts, uses and how to improve, what best to avoid when building and planning. How to find good locations, what to watch out in either PvP or PvE. Maybe examples. For example: I used to build multi floor buildings but later realized that keeping everything more compact, in one place and easy to reach from a central location fits my own playstyle way more than anything else. So, yeah, giving just food for thoughts because I know creating that 8 min video took hours. Keep it up, your voice is soothing and relaxing to listen to.

@@pterafier ARK has a big Building community out there. People who either did everything already and want to build something good looking for their dinos. Or people who just want to build and leave a mark on the landscape. There is the whole functionality vs beauty building too. When you look down on the big mountainrange on Ragnarok and look at the desert landscape with the mountains in the background and decide to build your base there, you could have such an amazing location. Too many to really count out there. ARK has some stunning views and alot of different locations that you can settle in and just create something unique.
