I worked as a technician in a US pipeline terminal very similar to this. We had a truck rack, fractionator, test lab, 4 million barrels of storage, etc. Looks like a nice facility.

Sergey in last few weeks you have bombarded me with many great videos. Your Volga Tour, the Moscow Ring, Neva Freeway, St. Petersburg's nights and Ufa. This video is also very interesting and educational. Sergey, you are very knowledgeable, thus no wonder, that we follow you. You probably, some time ago, told your audience what is your original profession. If you don't mind I would appreciate if you would tell us again your background. I am surprised that when you were in Hollywood they did not grab you and make you Dicaprio number two. However, as mechanical design engineer and international construction specialist, I can tell you that you made the right decision to stay in your country. Predictions are that the Future is in the East. Good luck and regards, from Canada.

Thanks for the vlog. The gas store is much nicer than many of the U.S. stores! I think the equivalent U.S. company for Petrol(we call it gasoline in the US or Diesel) is Ashland/Marathon. Pretty interesting video! Here, in Brazil the price of the gas 87 is about 1 dollar per Liter approximately 63.8 RUB. Greeting from Brazil!
@mralexsduarte8 жыл бұрын
47% are flex, which means they use alcohol or gas or mixed, 41% are gas only and 9% are alcohol only. If the price of alcohol, which is about 0.65 US per liter, is less than 70% of the price of the gas, so the alcohol will be the best option. I would say the alcohol is the best option for riding in the city, but gas is most recommend for traveling in the roads.
@Repositor_terceirizado8 жыл бұрын
In Brazil even gasoline has 27% of ethanol at all filling stations, its a goverment rule. The price of ethanol is very variable along the year, because depends of production of sugarcane. Besides that in regions distant of sugarcane plantations and ethanol distillers almost always gasoline is cheaper than ethanol. The flex motors were developed because people was desestimulated to buy ethanol motor cars. Formerly a lot of times people converted ethanol motors in gasoline motors and vice-versa because big difference in fuels prices. Nowadays with flex motors, people fill with ethanol or gasoline in function of price. Flex motors are not good at all, in my opinion has no good fuel consumption. This kind of engines have average compression ratio, with average fuel consumption, not optimized for ethanol fuel neither optimized for gasoline fuel. Sorry for poor english.

You should try to get in and see the Oil trade show there in UFA. I looked it up once but do not know what it is called or when it will be again. Similar thing we have in Canada is the Global Petroleum Show, and then there are Manufacturing, Welding, Cement or construction, and Machining trade shows. Are there any Job Fairs? Where people can see what jobs are available and to even mingle with prospective companies one is seeking to work at. Currently I am transitioning into Heavy Equipment Technician apprenticeship as well as Small engine repair because Oil market got really slow and I have been out of work since March. But My point is, What is done for the inspection and repair of such Heavy Equipment in Russia? Such as farm equipment, Semi's and trailers, and Earth Moving equipment. Lets say a small Bobcat or Cat loader burst a hydraulic line, or a pin breaks, or a bearing seizes out in the field. Who does the fixing and how? One example comes to my mind. I seen a large Farm tractor towing a hay baler and suddenly swerves to the Right and into the ditch and rolling over. Where, just before the unit swerved suddenly, there is a series of oil bursts onto the road. Indicating that something burst or broke that caused the incident.

4 different fuel wtf?? two choices in Ireland, petrol or diesel and some places have a separate pump for kerosene.
@ДмитрийВронский-в3с8 жыл бұрын
Yes, this is the ordinary picture. The most left for 'solyarka' (solar oil, diesel fuel) and three species of gas with different octan numbers. The 92 octan gas for common cars, the 95 is the beautified version of 92, and the 98 octan number for luxury cars (like some Audi and so on).
@ДмитрийВронский-в3с8 жыл бұрын
And what is kerosene for? In Russia it is used for airplanes only.
@irishcomrade12078 жыл бұрын
+Дмитрий Вронский It is used for central heating in homes and I think some agricultural vehicles
@tscherbakow808 жыл бұрын
In Russia we don't use kerosene for that purpose. Agricultural vehicles mostly use the diesel. Apartment buildings are heated by central city heating. Piped water flows with a temperature of 80-100 Celsius. Then enters The heating radiator. Also, there is always a hot water in tap in apartment. Houses are heated by gas or coal.
@ДмитрийВронский-в3с8 жыл бұрын
A small correction. In old apartment buildings the natural gas is often used in water heaters. Also stoves often are powered by natural gas. In private houses natural gas is commonly used in heaters and in stoves. Even some cars are using natural gas, there are special gas stations for them. As for gasoline (= benzine) which is often shortened to 'gas' (that may confuse!), it is used in Russia for cars only.
